Namm 2025 predictions

Wow talk about a niche product! I mean it looks cool but seems like it make more sense as a custom thing for a band to do rather than a ready made product. Not much difference to this and just getting a large rectangular led panel (would probably weigh a ton less too)

New EVH SA-126 Standards, MII and starting at $899:

So far the theme definitely appears to be modded Marshall’s and hot plexi
And hi end guitars at lower price points

I wrote the pre-chorus to "Up All Night" by Slaughter, before I ever heard that song.

You know, those same, simple 3 chords that had been used in that exact order, a thousand times before that? :rofl

I did write/play them in that exact rhythm though, before them, I will say that, lol.

I spent an evening making a rough demo I was ecstatic about, the drums, bass, guitars and possibly some keys. I text all my band members, “Wait until you guys hear this!!” and all that….then right around the time I was ready to bounce it down I realized it was the electric section of “Stairway To Heaven”. :rofl

I mean in a way if that's the target market it makes sense , sell a wall of those and they are going to make a crap ton.

Revv said 2024 was a really hard year for sales , they really had to crunch #s , the good news about this is they will have no competition in that niche

Ok, this is definitely cool. Absolutely NOT for me, but cool nonetheless.

This seems like the kind of product that forgot that projectors exist. I expect it will be too expensive to be worth it.

Also the website saying the refresh rate is 3840 Hz seems like somebody didn't understand the specs, because that would exceed the refresh rate of every LCD on the market by oh, about 3500 Hz.

I'd say it's just not made for us, but for very big budget guitarists.
Why would even they bother when they probably are playing a stadium where they could have an entire wall with a projection?

I've been to gigs at some basement venues where some cheap projector was used for visuals and would serve what those cabs do.

Is 2025 the year of "guitar gear manufacturers greatly overestimating the market for things"?

I dunno. Some extra sugar to call for attention?

It's not for low leagues bands for sure. Unless they have a lot of money.

Can We already say that there´ll be no news from digital multieffects brands in this NAMM?

No new Helix, no Nano Cortex updates, no Boss or Zoom new flagships, no IK ToneX Pro, No Fractal with modern UI...

Well, We had the Ampero update, the Mooer profiler launch and the PodGo update.

Can We still expect something else to happen?

I think for the very first time in a while the focus has shifted off the digital stuff
Smaller and modded Marshall amps as well as more affordable guitars and "FRFR" seems to be the main things
