I could investigate more, but the plug n play style of turning on the Helix and just be ready is more enjoyable anyway so the Scarlett will go.Could be a lot of things: A/D/A conversion, impedance circuit, dynamic range, etc. But it's most likely a combination of your DAW's full-throughput latency and lack of optimized gain staging. Might be worth investigating using your Helix as an interface, just to eliminate possibilities.
True. I mean a 1500€/$ device having some good/better inputs n stuff shouldn't be a surprise (I hope)Those Scarlett interfaces are made to a price point. The Hi-Z inputs on them are pretty cack IMHO. I use one for live stuff (synths and things to the drummer and FOH at the same time), but never use it in the studio.
Not seeing the pricing change in Canada yet...
Where are you seeing this price drop?Okay they've dropped the price here in Canada, too.
Wow, that makes a Helix Floor VERY tempting.
Indeed, I’ve been back and forth on another Stomp again or XL and the price correction would probably push me over the edge.Where are you seeing this price drop?
I hear the M5 is still seen on a lot of session musicians pedalboards. I know i see the DL4 very often used by touring bands.
Input Gate works fine for me on the Helix Floor and in Native. When I use the HX FX, I'll put a Horizon Gate before drives.do you prefer to use the input gate or put gates in the signal chain?

I’ve had the experience where I played a Fender amp models in the Stomp and thought something was off, then went to the store plugged into a fender and it was identical to the Stomp. I just keep forgetting how much my taste has drifted away from a Fender (without some kind of always-on pedal in front). Was playing through some Fender models on the Helix yesterday, paired some of them with the legacy screamer model and was having a blast. The legacy screamer is easily one of my favourite overdrives on the Helix. Whenever I feel the need for a TS sound, I pull it up, because I can get it to sound as bass-shaved or bass-fat as I need: it's bass+tone+treble controls are awesome. Reminds me of my Way Huge Green Rhino.
On a side note, I was at L&M yesterday testing out a guitar, and was playing through a Fender Blues Junior. Amazing amp ofcourse, but TBH (unpopular opinion), it sounded and FELT to ME at least just like my Helix through powered cab, only with fewer controls than I would have had on the Helix. Even the analog spring reverb to me sounded no different.
I have a HX Stomp with Tonex in the loop, stereo signal is going out to the board. Can I use headphone out for stage monitoring?
Not much point in the parallel path if it just gets merged before the reverb.Anyone still having issues with digital clipping with the Dynamic Reverbs, specifically when running a stereo delay on a separate path?

The issue goes away when running everything on the same path.

I wonder if it got bypassed somehow without the icon showing it.Had this on last night's gig: The Simple Delay just stopped working. Everything looked normal (it's just three parameters anyway), the reverb also running in that patch was fine, just the delay didn't do anything. Switching to another patch and back fixed things but it's been really weird. I seem to remember running into a similar thing before and I also think I was reading about it somewhere. Anyone ever experienced something like that?
