I had the same question a couple months ago and was able to find a link in some forum pointing to a description of the catalyst amp models that was pretty helpful. I think it might have been from an article about the catalyst. But I can’t seem to find it now.
Sounds whack until you lower it to the TRV KVLT defavlt value.
I’ve pretty much parked myself at the 2203 since it launched. All the other amp models could have been disabled and I’m not sure I would have noticed. It helps that I use a 2204 with the band. The Hx 2203’s resemblance is uncanny. I think of it as a nod towards things yet to come with Stadium. So, I do realize I'm late to the party but, man, the 2203 in Helix is insanely good & the newer cabs![]()
Boosted mids are for people with tiny shrivelled wee baws.JFYI: Scooped mids are for yesteryears sissies.
I just heard a couple thousand dudes scrambling to their music cave to crater that Mark’s mid slider.Boosted mids are for people with tiny shrivelled wee baws.
Just dropping this here for fun. I'm sure some of you will agree:
YES. Line 6 Badonk is definitely one of my favourite amp models. Another Line 6 Original I really enjoy is the Oblivion.[…] II'm sure some of you will agree:

I REALLY want to try one of these.I've been testing the US Super Nrm on my recently purchased Fender FR12 and I love it. It has replaced the Line6 Clarity as my main clean amp. Awesome job on this one.
I'm also very pleased with the FR12. I don't fully remember what the Headrush FR108 sounded like, but I don't think it sounded as full as now. And I don't know if it has the hiss fixed but it's almost unnoticeable. I haven't yet played at rehearsal volume, but I listened to the hiss at max volume and I think it would also be unnoticeable with a band.
Can't wait to try the Stadium Floor on this :)
I know you never sell your stomp… but at what point do you buy a 2nd one?
One in the loop of the other
Not crazy at all if you don’t mind spending the money, and managing the cables and power.I know you never sell your stomp… but at what point do you buy a 2nd one?
Here’s what I’m thinking: two stomps plus an expression pedal and 3 extra switches, for a total of 9 foot switches, equal power to a helix floor or LT, plus room on the board for a ton of other pedals…and it’s modular and can be turned into two totally separate rigs. One stomp for pre amp blocks up to and including the amp and maybe the cab, and a 2nd stomp for everything post amp/cab. One in the loop of the other or probably even just plugged into the outputs of the other. Room for a couple fuzz, od pedals, a tuner, looper, all the stuff that has to float around my LT on the floor because it would be ridiculous to put it on an even bigger board.
There are some down sides for sure. More cables, more latency, more difficult to manage presets. I mostly use one footswitch per effect rather than snapshots anyway because I’m not playing live, I like to mix and match, and my post amp effects mostly stay the same, so that’s not a huge problem for me.
But the upsides are attractive to me, especially having the same amount of power as my LT but having room for additional pedals on the board. I love the LT but that thing is a boat, it will likely never leave my living room, and I miss playing with my fuzz pedals.
Is this crazy?
