Have You Bought Any Pedals Lately In 2025?

This will probably be the last one this year. We'll see if it stays. It does sound really good but it's ridiculously expensive. I've been selling CD's, DVD's and other old crap and decided that the money will be used for dumb gear purchases! I'm well on my way to a Mellotron Micro or something next!

The fingerprints really show up in the photo :rofl Just noticed that MIDI out was not plugged in all the way

That’s a very nice pedal 👌
If you get the chance ? Try a Electro Harmonix Mel 9 .
It’s a awesome pedal and has been in use here pretty much every day since its release 👌

Hmmmmm, the Meraki has a pretty drastic high pass filter on the dry and wet. Probably not that noticeable on guitar but it's screwing with my synths 🤔 I'll need to try it in parallel

Well, I'm already thinking about returning the Meraki. All the secondary features make it fiddly to use, I had to program a MIDI template for it on my keyboard, I'm having issues with modulation not always working on both channels, it's screwing with my dry tone and the VP4 can get very close to it with very little tweaking on the Stereo BBD setting.

Probably not worth it! I think I'd rather wait for a Timeline MX or something.

Saddening news to hear; but better now, than later. I've had the Meraki on my list for some time (I'm a big Walrus fan), but never got around to taking the plunge.

I would be very excited to pick up a Timeline MX, if it ever gets released.

It's a great sounding pedal, but imagine having several secondary functions per side that you access by having to set a switch to a particular position before making adjustments to parameters with no visual indication of the current setting. And then you try to adjust them via MIDI, but sometimes it works and sometimes it just doesn't. Then your right delay is wobbly AF and the left delay has zero modulation.

Secondary functions can suck, unless it's fully digital with some kind of display.

These two are incoming .
The Filthy Rat is a classic Rat-style circuit with a unique twist. Unlike the traditional ProCo Rat, where the Tone control works in reverse, this version behaves the way you’d expect. Inside, it features some clever modern engineering that delivers incredible tones with endless sustain.

The 800 Drive is our tribute to what we consider the greatest amp ever built—the legendary JCM800.
Packed into a single pedal, it delivers that unmistakable classic tone, transforming your clean sound into the iconic roaring rock voice that defined a generation.

This just landed.
Ghost Note Audio have absolutely nailed it with this pedal. 80’s alternative modulation in a box. Cocteau Twins, Cure, siouxsie and the banshees, early Cult/Death Cult any 4AD or 80’s post punk (or that Goth word) it’s absolutely sublime.

Hell yeah! Im itching for that one.

Has anyone come to the conclusion that the TC 2290P just isn't that good? I'm thinking of selling mine.

EQD Zoar just came in the doar. Can't wait to try this one out.
That thing is a real surprise!!!

Didn't expect it to be THAT awesome.

Just wow... Yes, honeymoon phase, but hot damn!!!!!!! What a shapeable, versatile beast.

From slightly raunchy boost to cutting, defined distortion, woolly fuzz or almost Bender-ish mayhem...

Definitely one of the best purchases this year.
