Have You Bought Any Pedals Lately In 2025?

Got one of these incoming .

Has anyone come to the conclusion that the TC 2290P just isn't that good? I'm thinking of selling mine.
I love mine. I think I like the tone more than the SDE-3000D. Main thing I don't like is that it is not analog dry through like people think.

Ordered one of these.
Amazon uk have a Black Friday prime deal on £255 inc bag and toppers 👌

This year?
I just got a Tone King Imperial pre-amp pedal.

Earlier this year I replaced my Boss SD1 that I couldn’t find any more, also got a Keeley Halo and KMA Endgame.

What's your thoughts on the Tone King? I love mine!

And how about that Endgame? I've been curious about that one...

I'm trying to imagine all the amazing, top-quality gear Dave could have had if he prioritized quality over quantity. Instead of shitloads of budget gear, he could have had plenty of high-quality gear… To each his own, I guess.

I have a lot of top quality gear thank you very much.
Why not just imagine your own gear and I ll take care of mine 😳

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, Dave. I'm just puzzled by the amount of cash you must spend on what is generally considered budget options. If I were you, I'd spend the same amount of cash differently (fewer items, but higher quality options on each). But you do what you want to do - cheers!

The imperial is more fun than expected. Especially since all I had as reference was the plugin.

I run it in a weird set up though.
gtr into Ridenberg SLOF, into lehle, into Fryette GPDI-IR,
Amp loop to Imperial pre, Soldano in imperial amp loop,
out from Fryette power amp line out to end game.
Stereo delay in endgame stereo loop
Speaker out to ox box.
For extra fun endgame also to cone cab and ox to mesa cab speaker

End Game is the better maker because of the doubler and stereo loop as well as the ability to load different IRs left and right.

Would I take it over the ox box no. But it did retire the ox stomp.

Don't think I've posted here yet but I've bought and sold a fair amount of pedals this year. Ended up keeping a ST300 tuner, GE-7 EQ, Maxon 808.

Got a labor day sale cheap board and my One Spot CS6 just arrived today.

I previously had and kept an Endless Blockade noise gate.

In all honesty I only need the gate and tuner but the boost and EQ are fun and fill up the board a bit.

I have found a couple of decent deals this week and bought a couple of new pedals. I bought a Wampler Tumnus Deluxe, that just showed up today. I haven't had a chance to plug it in yet. I then found a deal on a Keeley Hydra today and bought that. When it gets here I am going to change up my pedal board again. I am going to put my Halo and the Hydra both on it. I will probably put the Tumnus on there as well. I need to do a shootout with it and a couple of other pedals to make that decision.

I am really curious about the Tone King Imperial pedal. I really want one. I just don't want to drop the 6 bills on it that they cost. I have spent a lot of money this month. I need to take a breather on that and maybe buy it early next year.

You didn’t hurt my feelings .
You can keep your opinions to yourself it’s not the first time .
I buy what I want when I want and at the price I want.
If it’s good and does what I want price doesn’t come into it.
I’m not a brand snob.

That’s an odd thing to say.
What is your definition of top-quality gear?

I got every thing from super cheap Harley Bentons to high end stuff like US Tyler, B3, PRS Core, just sold my Heatley.

It all gets used.
If you’re talking amps/pedals I’m not sure what I’d rather use than I have.

I guess you know what he means by that. Dave buys multiple variants of some of the cheapest, like crazy - when he could actually spend less and get his hands on some top-tier units instead.

It boils down to a matter of taste and approach, for sure, but some of us get sour when he keeps boasting like he's the clever one and we're a bunch of c*nts for buying "expensive" gear he believes isn't better quality, etc.

It's getting boring, tbh

Clearly I don’t/didn’t. I stopped arguing about others gear choices over a decade ago lol

And it certainly doesn’t matter what someone thinks of mine

I’ve had you on my ignore list for a while but had to see this post of yours.
Sorry some of you ? get sour but I don’t boast like I’m the clever one and have never called anyone a bunch of cunts for buying expensive gear I believe isn’t better quality .ect. 😳
I don’t and never have criticised anyone’s buying choices on here.
The forum gang on here seem to love criticising mine though.🤣😂
PS .
I don’t buy multiple variants of some of the cheapest pedals like crazy.
If I did it’s got fook all to do with you.

It's irritating, to some extent.

Anyhow, we're all here for the same thing, one could say. And I'm fairly certain I'd even share a beer with you and have nice talks, no doubt.

I have now removed you from my ignore list. All I'd expect in return is actual conversation about gear, at least sort reviews of the stuff you buy, etc.

Pictures alone won't suffice, neither do YouTube links. Post your personal experiences/insight, and I'm happy to chat.

Olive branch, tbh

PS: And you're not buying multiple variants of the same cheap boxes? Eh... Sorry sir, I believe the Warm Audio Store disagrees. 😁
