Grid Slammer vs. Halcyon Green
The GS is basically a TS9 clone with a modified clipper diode arrangement. It's gets bonus points from me because I'm a Mesa Boogie fan.
The Halcyon Green is derived from a TS808. It includes a Mod switch that alters the mid push frequency. Additionally, it has a dry blend knob and a 3 position adapt switch which alters (improves?) dynamic response when rolling down the volume.
The GS build quality is better than most pedals, but not quite to the same level of the Halcyon Green. That is also reflected in their respective price points.
They both do the TS mid-forward thing as expected, and sound good doing it. The Halcyon Green is much more versatile with the dry blend and adaptive dynamics circuitry, but again, that is reflected in its price.
The GS is a well made TS9 clone with a Mesa Boogie logo.
The HG has unique features that make it stand out in a sea of green overdrives.
