Have You Bought Any Pedals Lately In 2025?

I ordered a EVH Phase 90 this week too but I paid full list price of 129$.
@DrewJD82 how was yours only 79$?

Annnnnnnnnnd good lord that's a RAT clone as well :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Is that essentially a Vintage/Turbo switch? Do the controls match the usual level/gain/filter?

Yep, it’s a RAT clone. The controls are the same, but with the inverted filter (clockwise is brighter, counter-clockwise is darker).

The switch is symmetrical <—> asymmetrical clipping. It’s more open and a little brighter in the asymmetrical setting and thicker and more full in symmetrical.

The second footswitch is sort of like a big lower mids boost. I think it’s placed in front. It adds a ton of gain and fatness

I’ve wondered about the Mesa pedals. What’s the verdict on this guy? Hot rodded tubescreamer or something else?
Tonight I'm going to shootout the Grid Slammer against my Halcyon Green from Origin Effects since it's the only other TS style pedal I own.

From my brief investigation, the only difference between the Grid Slammer and a TS9 is the GS clipper arrangement resembles the diode arrangement from a Timmy

I'll post an update after my testing.

I know you've all seen this picture but here is Eddie's rig from VH1 era.
A phaser, flanger, boost, some tape echo in a bomb shell replica and of course his marshalls.... and his hands.

Depends on how you talk to, there’s currently a double-digit page thread at RT of someone digging in deep in the “Ed’s VH1 amp was a Jose modded Marshall with 2 variacs”!

Besides, we can thank Gilmour for giving us all a free pass to express our love for ‘tone is in the fingers’ while hauling around a massive fucking rig. :rofl

There's a great meme making the rounds of Gilmour "tone is in the fingers" showing his 128 space rack rig :cop :ROFLMAO:

There's like some serious rig inbreeding happening amongst us certainly  A lot of hive-mind-meld happening and I am here for it!

1. My Morley wah has always been my thing.

2. The phase was from watching too much LT and thinking "I need some automated movement in my rig" and I've always loved phasers.

3. The SD1 I've had for a bit and never liked until I got the Multiwatt. It's great with the V as well.

4. The RAT clone I've had forever but it's getting it's due usage in front of the Boogies. I'll probably get another one of more reputable nature like I alluded to up top. This one supposedly has the LM chip that makes it good but who knows?

5. The Micro Amp 2 was inspired by my other guitarist as I love the volume boost he gets. Though I use it for a gain boost on top of dirty amp channels.

6. The Stereo Chorus I noticed on Charvel Dan's board and despite that; I looked into it further and figured out it would be good for the fake Zakks and it has been that and then some \m/

7. SCF was absolutely Met inspired and Drew reinforced. Leon's vids all did their damage on these modulation pedals as well :love

8. EVH Flanger was because the finish and the EVH setting.

9. SDE-3 was pretty much all because LT's vids.

Man, I love it when a Reverb seller doesn't state they have the box and stickers/paperwork that came with a pedal originally, but it all shows up after you order it. That's happened a couple times now where I expected to only receive a used pedal but everything shows up. This EVH90 is dead mint, as is the box and everything in it.

Very stoked with how it sounds, too! The only phaser pedal I've ever owned was a Joyo I got for one recording, it definitely didn't sound like this! This thing almost sounds like a Univibe it's so thick and swirly!
