Have A Chance On A Bogner 20th Anniversary XTC.

Fuck me! The 20th is back up for sale again. It was off and the listing was removed
for the 2nd time, only to reappear.

The Fates are just fucking with me at this point. :crazy
Is it going to fall into the buried by a Marshall category though

Bogner Blue Overdrives are going to have to suffice for now.
Maybe forever. Just bought my 3rd one. :facepalm

Insanity!

Two of the Mini versions and 1 Full-size. Love them so much. :chef

Or the Celestions
So true!

A little story... The other guitarist in my 2nd band from when I was still in HS went out and bought a used Marshall Super Lead 100 watt head. This would've been around 1980. He had been using a Fender Super Reverb combo, and he ran his Marshall thru those speakers at our next gig, only a day after he got the amp. Translation- he hadn't even yet played it!

It sounded like shit! He goes to take it back, the sales guy asked him what cab was he using..., long story short, he ends up buying a pair of Celestions, puts them into his Dual Showman cab, and woop, There It Is: That schweet Marshall tone he was after. I was SO jealous!!

Just goes to show ya, the speakers/cab are a HUGE part of your sound!

I'm putting the Ecstasy on the backburner indefinitely. The Goldfinger 45 is f'ing great.
I'd take a bath on selling it. I really like my amps. No. Check that. I love the amps I have.

A $3K-$4k head that I won't get to use much in a live setting just isn't appealing to me
as much as it was. I feel like I can better utilize those resources elsewhere. And if I stumble
upon a crazy deal and get a @spawnofthesith style blessing from the Gear Gods then
maybe I'll jump. For now, colour me content. :beer

Except the V-twin.

:sofa
I thought about mentioning the V-Twin.

I still have mine. Bought one of the first batch.

It was an interesting pedal and I gigged with it for a while but it was no Dual Rectifier. Not even close.

Sadly I never found a pedal that does the Mesa thing. :(

Best Mesa Mark tone I ever found. Supposed to be their take on Peavey 5150 and 6505 amps.
I never played either of those but I have lots of experience with the Mark tone, or at least a version of it I really like,
and this pedal gets there better than anything I've tried - all the Mesa offerings included.

Been rotating lots of gear the past couple years and the P2 has survived the cut every time. :headbang

I had one for years too. Loved it as an end of chain clean boost. I was stupid for trading it in.

This amp has come up on the Radar again. The guy keeps pulling his listing
and then putting it back up. Not sure what is going on. He dropped his price
and new pics reveal it to be a 101B Anniversary edition. Previously he told me
it was a 101A with the 6L6s. I wanted the B version with the EL34s. Hence, my
newfound interest.

There is also a Sig X hat popped up locally for less $$$. :brick
