Fractal Talk

Any effect types with "stereo" in the title support stereo inputs. Mono types can be setup to have wide stereo image using modulation (LFO phase non zero, phase reverse on or LFO3 setup to pan the delay) but will sum the inputs.
I had to convince myself this was true, but it's true! The block diagrams say the feedback lines sum, but it looks like they don't if you use a stereo mode.

Cool.

TIL!

Edit: Also, holy shit whatever is in this new beta firmware is GOLD DUST! This is all defaults. Just threw blocks down to test the stereo thing and with my HB Spruce it's delicious. A little heavy in the low end, but for defaults it's incredibly useful.

Nah, this is Fractal talk. 🙂

I’m talking about the VH4 model (silver). I never really knew much about this amp until now. I love it!

I'd suggest you also try and pair it with the Devin Townsend Gift Of Tone IR from Christmas Season 2023, JD. :chef

It's a very unique Celestion Blackback Based IR with a 57/421 combo. So good with that amp.

When I find something off I check the Floor Unit right away as my cat loves to play around and screw up my settings lol

Anyone know how to simulate the bold/spongy switch and the tube vs ss rectifier in the rectifier models? I expect it was all modeled with bold and Ss, but I also like the spongy and tube recifier modes.

Bold/spongy in the Mark V is achieved by dropping the voltage down, similar to a variac. I think 90V is what it is. As for the different rectifier circuits, that would be controlled by sag. Tube rectifiers=more sag, diodes=less. That will get you in the ballpark.

You are correct Leon simulated it by using Variac
Also increasing SAG slightly, I believe
He has a vid called
Pimp my Recto on his channel

I love the 800s, but I have moved to the 50W Plexi since my Di Meola Deep Dive. It
never sounds or feels bad to me. Outside of a few songs we played last night in
drop C where I switch to the Mark IV and use the Virtual Capo I stayed on the 50W
Plexi all night. No clean channels. No edge of break up mid-gainers. Not necessary.
I bet I could do an handful of genres in a night and nail them with that amp model. :chef

Oh, and my Tone stack is no Treble, Bass and Mids crancked. Looks dumb and sounds epic!

I use the Plexi models for everything from clean to metal (with a a tube screamer boost). Damn near perfect for me.

Finally installed the new Axe Edit...I'm a little torn. The blue looks kinda cool, but it's also a bit loud and distracting.

Anyone update the FM9 latest Beta? I'm curious to try out a few things
Wondering if its Stable enough

Cheers
