All right, I'm a weirdo. I spent a few minutes zooming in on a waveform and listening at 25% speed to see what's happening during the switch. It's magic, I tell you. All I see and hear is a clean-ass, immediate switch from clean to heavy distortion. If they were just crossfading a 300 ms switch, it would probably be noticeable? How the hell would I know! The game has been changed.

Did the update go smoothly for everyone? I usually wait until the official release because of the bugs that are reported. Is this beta running well this time around?

I have actually in all my years never had a Fractal update go wrong if following the steps
It’s one of these things that does not get mentioned often but after dealing with other companies updates Fractal is a joy to deal with
Now you may need to adjust levels a bit but yes it is smooth

Updated firmware; reset the amp block in my main preset (DM2 slap back delay into 59 Bassman Normal into a Dynacab into a London plate Reverb).

THere's enough downtime between playing it, doing the firmware update, etc., that its reeeeeeaalllly hard to tell. I notice differences. I think. I couldn't REALLY articulate what they are...seems a little cleaner and I haven't adjuted for that, so perhaps the "maybe that's a little clearer?" is just "of course its clearer you idiot, there is less clipping". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
