Fractal Talk

Is everyone done being assholes to each other? Can we get back to the topic of Fractal? JFC :rofl
Careful, you'll get accused of gatekeeping!

Wouldn't be surprised if someone lost their beta tester status.
Why would a meta comment about how a thread was derailed cost someone a beta slot?

Edit: to be clear, I thought the comment was fairly harmless, which is why I don’t quite see how that jeopardizes beta status. But I’m not a beta tester, so I obviously don’t know “da rules.” It’s an honest question and not a challenge.

The Fractal already sounds great. The forum issues are all quite logical and happen everywhere. People are interested in at last 5% of authenticity and want to know if the upgrade sounds better. The inherent design of Fractal doesn't reset/rebuild presets like some other hardware platforms. The first questions that come out after the maestro announces new code are: what's changed, how does it sound, how do I keep my sounds the same after upgrade and how do I invoke these changes or revert back. Those that dip their toes in the beta release feed info back to others, fueling more questions (to some that don't even own the unit) The soft/hard reset debacle is as confusing as it gets and could be circumvented by not giving the option. That would change things for many though as historically some like to keep the decisions in their hands.

The main problem with the thread is that people don't read the fractal wiki, the 20 pages of thread prior or the manual before posting and expect answers handed to them even though they have been answered repeatedly.
