Mix controls the level of repeats, Feedback the quantity...

Hella cool! Love pretty much everything I heard there.

I will say @2112 has a couple of "Tape Loops" presets that do similar kinda crazy pitch loops and background chippiness to what I hear here, but they also aren't quite as controlled.

Also, they use some rather creative routing of multiple blocks rather than being a single block you can drop in

The Axe doesn't have any granular delay type of effects so it's not a good fit for warbley and lofi music. I would love it if Cliff took some time to work out some slightly more modern digital effects, i appreciate the improvements in amp modeling but tbh it's kinda wasted on me at this point.
Understood and agree.

If I'm being completely honest, I don't think I like what Cygnus X-3 update did to the Plexi's, thay are too smooth/mellow now, and the preamps are tighter, it might all be placebo.

I need to revert back to v24, record some DI tracks and reamps with various settings, then update to 25 beta and reamp again.
I really hate doing this but for the sake of reassuring myself that nothing is majorly fucked with v25, it's worth doing.

I can tell a bit from the clips but I am not hearing night and day , maybe a bit more attack in the lows , more upper mids vs the lower and the gain being a bit smoother and cleaner , maybe in the room it’s different, but from the 3 or 4 clips I have heard posted 24 to 25 is not as drastic as some seem to think
Obviously will have to wait for it to come to FM9 and I am sure it will be great

Another thing w Cygnus 1 there ended up being like 10 betas so I would say CX3 is just in the early stages likely

Hey all !

This *might* be known here already but Cliff just posted in the last hour or so at TOP " .... We most likely will have beta releases for the FM3 and FM9 this week. We put an extra person on the FM3 development to catch it up .... " see here .

We'll see what the FM3 update actually contains and then cry tears of disappointment. :sofa
My expectation is that it has everything the FM9 had except maybe the reverb improvements.

Since the FM9's Gapless Channel/Scene/Preset has three settings; Off, Channel & Scene, and All it is possible that gapless might not have the "All" option aka gapless preset switching, just gapless channel/scene switching. I do hope they manage to cram in gapless preset switching too because that would make the FM3 pretty powerful.

Didn't know ^^this^^ ..... that's actually a really smart way to implement this feature as fully as they can across differing "power" units .... agreed to that if they can make the FM3 do all three ...... channel / scene / pre-sets ..... that really does further increases its utility in a huge way ... even if it takes a small'ish hit in overall power to achieve it.

Its funny ....... gapless switching is one of those things that isn't a deal breaker for me .... but once I've / you've had it ... you really want to keep having it as it really does streamline making and using scenes / pre-sets etc.....

Yeah I've always been "pfff, who do these people care about gapless switching so much to write freakin' essays on it?" but having it on my Axe-Fx 3, it is just that little bit nicer.

I've just never thought about it much because not even every real amp out there is switching channels without a gap.
