Fractal Talk

I really have no interest in a pretend cab that is impersonating other speakers. The cabinet/enclosure has too much of an effect on the speaker

Wireless guitars don’t interest me either, more latency, batteries, dicking around when changing guitars.

I’d like some solid state models - they’ve done a JMP-1 (which is kind of like a valvestate) so I guess it’s possible?

My wishes would be:

#1 Plugin
#2 Plugin
#3 Plugin
#4 FM0
#5 small dedicated reverb/delay/amp pedals

If you like Trouble, you might like the first album by Confessor, called Condemned. Trouble was their biggest influence. I never really got into Trouble, but I tried them so long ago I don't really remember. But Condemned by Confessor is one of my favorite albums; it's so creative, powerful, and emotional at the same time.
I've always known about them but never dug in. They always seemed like one of those bands who were ever in "their" time. Listening now and those vocals are an odd fit. To say the astronomical least. Drummer is nutty and I do dig that \m/

She's more Monkees than Beatles, if you know what I mean.

Wish #4, Solid State Amps. (y)

Well...there's the JC-120, tone stacks can be replaced/tuned to one's taste, power amp modeling bypassed, and impedance curve set flat. So that's kinda there already. Unless you're talking about the drive characteristics of some solid states amps...

Yeah, I agree very much that the vocals are an acquired taste. Scott Jeffreys almost took over vocals for Watchtower, which I think is really interesting. Steven Shelton's drumming is one of those things that's just near and dear to my heart. They're probably condemned to obscurity, but that one album kills me. Their eponymous EP actually has two Trouble covers, The Last Judgment and Endtime.

I can hear him singing for Watchtower quite easily? I don't hear the Trouble vibe really at all as the riffs and grooves are very proto-mathematical sounding with the Valvestate sounding guitar tones on top.

Crazy! Heresy! I've always loved those tones haha.

The writing I guess it's an acquired taste too. Funnily I never thought of them as mathematical, feel wise. They've always felt very raw and emotional to me. Maybe that says more about me than the music haha!

I tried Watchtower again a few months ago, and I felt nothing at all, not even interest. I love progressive music, but it has to connect with me emotionally first, and that just left me dry.

@timbuck3, you post videos like my dad sends me random IG videos. I feel bad telling my dad to stop, but I don’t feel bad telling you to. Knock it off. :rofl

At least find/make a thread for something if you find it interesting, but this is just totally random shit. :ROFLMAO:
sorry....i went back to delete but i have a 2 minute window so as admin feel free to delete them thanx

Gawd this thing sounds so amazing!!

I just got done playing a preset in which I have 2 delays strung together, a multi-tap delay, and a chorus, and it sounds just..., beyond words!!

I've never been able to put effects together like that, without getting a load of 'tone-suck'!

Playing the solo to Don't Stop Believin, and the way the notes cascade over one another is so freaking luscious! Yeah, that's a good word. :chef

The truth is the AxefxIII and to be fair similar units have made huge racks of gear obsolete. There is just no need to have 100 points of failure anymore. The FX in the FAS stuff are quite good in a guitar rig.
