Haha. Well you could definitely do it with analog gear but that diagram isn't quite there. The multiple parallel effects would require a line mixer :)

That's exactly what I was thinking. And the tapdance you'd have to do to change multiple effects at once would require some seriously fancy footwork.

I'm seeing it more and more in live shots with younger bands/artists. Not that this has anything to do with modelers per say,
but damn, I don't think I'd ever feel safe on a stage with a laptop. Too many blue screen of death memories.

Man, that was my favourite page (last page?) in every issue of Guitar World back in the day. I would study those
Rigs so intently.

I miss seeing them. I don't think they have done those in years.
