Wondering if this is Possible Cascading 2 1959SLP as slave into main, using one amp as a gain stage
Has anyone ever tried this ?

You can run amp blocks in series, but you'll have to experiment a bit because the results will be all over the place.

I'm not joking, have you ever thought about doing a gofund me to finance someone to reverse engineer the amps? I would never donate to one started by a rando but I would feel comfortable chipping in if you were the person starting it.
With everyone wanting different amp(s) added, I don't think that would work out that great.

But my stance is that if you can't get all the tones you'd ever need out of 300+ freakin' amp models covering over 100 unique amps, it's a personal problem - wanting to collect virtual amps, wanting something that says "I am this amp" on the label. At this point I'd take more Dyna-Cabs or mics instead.

I was able to emulate the Victory VC35 using the Morgan AC20 Deluxe model, or the Bogner Goldfinger with Super Reverb, Bogner Shiva, Marshall Superlead and JCM800 models to the point I could not tell which was which when run through a Fryette PS and the same cab.

Kyle Bull was able to make the EVH 5150-III Stealth 50W to sound and respond very much like the Badlander 50W, so now that the Stealth is in, maybe a Badlander owner can try that out and see if they can match their favorite amp with that model?

Add a Tone Match block and you're off to the races.

Not with that amp, but @Piing and I used a Fender amp model to replicate an Alembic pre-amp Gilmour used. I just used Piing’s amp block, he probably some tweaks in the deeper settings to make it work “appropriately”.

Would you basically just need to deactivate the power amp, or am I misunderstanding the end goal? @yek addresses this in the amp guide, but I cannot, for the life of me, find the most recent version...

Edit: Finally found it. At TOP, of all places...

PLEASE READ IMPORTANT

this is why you don't want me touching the wiki. I am a moron.

it's the drive guide that was (a) updated more recently and (b) has the info about using a drive model as an amp

Edit: @yek, is there a more recent version of the amp guide? I thought there was, as there are posts from 2019 and 2020 saying it was in work.

All good.

In that case, there's an even newer version. And it's already linked to. From the wiki: https://wiki.fractalaudio.com/wiki/index.php?title=Yeks_Guide_to_the_Fractal_Audio_Drive_Models :)

I'd be shocked to my very core if there was @yek-produced content that wasn't acurately reflected and up-to-date on the wiki. He is pretty much the lone maintainer for the wiki.
