I had read it was similar to the TC tight switch which is basically a built in boost cuttings lows
The tonestack changed to have more upper mids
And the pres and bright cap likely changed values to smooth the top end fuzz

Unfortunately that might be outside of Cliff's area of expertise since it's a very different problem than modeling electronic circuits. It might take him some time to study a solution. The good new is the Xmas break is around the corner....
