Do we have specs on the speaker in these? I am considering trying a Neo 10" in mine. I like to mess with stuff.

The power amp module is custom built for Fender, and is also the main power supply for the amp. It sits on the bottom of the cabinet behind a metal grill Faraday cage.
Thing is, if that module died, it's basically impossible to get a replacement Your best bet is a warranty claim with Fender methinks.
Other than that, both the FR-10 and FR-12 are biamped, meaning there's no crossover in place if you want to turn them into a normal cab.
The good news is, the issue brought me to these forums and ultimately the waitlist for WKSmith's preamp board, so all will be well in the long run
Good choice but note that WKSmith's preamp board will still need the power amp to work - it pulls double duty as a preamp power supply.
Those look great! That was an obvious direction for them to go.Max at Fender posted this over on discord. Tweed FR12's for Pearl Jam's Tour! Says they are considering making them available to the public. Here comes the TWEED!

I guess they could always go with the EVH 5150 look. Now do something that looks metal
The official amp model sounds nothing like it but at least the "FRFR" "solution" looks similarI guess they could always go with the EVH 5150 look.
Just like my 1959 Gibson GA200 that I just sold recently to a country artist in Nashville.
Is it not cool to ride around on a tricked out Vespa anymore? Are """FRFR""" the mopeds of the amp world? Everyone finds them fun but no one wants to be seen with one?

Whoa that’s really warm
Hope they give Pearl Jam the noise-free version of the FR12!Max at Fender posted this over on discord. Tweed FR12's for Pearl Jam's Tour! Says they are considering making them available to the public. Here comes the TWEED!

Oh I'm sure they have!Hope they give Pearl Jam the noise-free version of the FR12!
I love the look of these. But more importantly, since they didn't change the model number when they introduced the noise fix, finding one of these will be the only way to know you're getting the new preamp design.
