That looks pretty good. Are there DSP limitations compared to the bigger units? Can you run dual amps or have gapless switching?

As far as I have read the GX-100 and GT-1000 are using different sound engine and the latter sounds "better"?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

But wow BOSS, that's like my old MX5 but most probably better at everything.

This is correct. and you're right, this will sound better than the MX5 but not better than the GT-1000.

I think the different sounds were due to an issue with the GX-100 impulse response conversion. Some people who had both units using the stock cabs said they sounded the same or very similar, but with IR's the GX-100 sounded a lot darker. It sounds like that IR issue was fixed with the last firmware over the summer.

In theory now they should sound very similar, although the GT has a little better converters, not sure if that would be audible.

I tested both GX100 and GT1000 side by side for a week or so with the stock AIRD Cabs .... is there a difference in hardware spec between the GX and the GT .... on paper yes ... could I hear any difference up loud or quiet .... no-never-inaudible.

Yes. The GX 10 does run [if you want] 2 Amps at the same time and you can mix / blend them as you wish etc....
Yes. It is totally and utterly gapless switching ... you just go from preset to preset instantly with spillover ... no need for scenes or snapshots or channels

With 170 Boss EFX and 15 Blocks + 3 Dividers [Dividers allow for Parallel Paths] all for only US $399 if you want an EFX only rig for you real Amp or your Amp-only Modeler this is just an insane no brainer .... unless you want or need multiple non-standard reverbs .... and you don't even need to use any of the on-board Amps if you don't want to or don't like them !!!!

You don't even wanna know what I sold mine for :bonk
I was gonna try and offload mine, but I was persuaded to keep it. I now just use it like a POD. It's my silent desktop practice and writing toy.

In a pinch, if I need in the future.....it's just an outboard effect processor.

I probably couldn't give it away now ...so yeah....I know...

Now if I could just forgive myself for purchasing it in the first place.🤣
