… Love the Marshall Vintage Modern! Is that a 2266 or 2466?

The 2466 was my main amp for seven years or so, along with a 1960BX cab.
It’s a 2466. I also had the 425A cabinet but I didn’t like the G12C speakers. I tried selling them separately from the cabinet but they didn’t move so i put them back in and sold the purple cabinet.

I am bonding with the Roadster far more quickly than with the Royal Atlantic. The Homester
is sick. 2 different Clean Channels. Either of which could also be used as a platform for pedals.
Then 2 distinct and different Drive Channels. Also, the best onboard Spring Reverb outside of
my Super Reverb.

I am going to be putting Creambacks in it, though----eventually. I just think it would take it
to an entire new level on the Clean to Tweed tones.

And yes, this is easily on par with the Mark V in terms of versatility, @TSJMajesty . So tickled
you found the Roadster and shared it here. :beer

Big dumb amps you say?

Not me in the pic. I would buy this if it were available.

That BV600H is hilarious. I did actually play the BV300H at a back line gig and a BV150H in store. Those amps were actually pretty solid. A massive improvement over the standard BV120H and BV60. Completely different preamp and power sections. I had a 120 and wish I’d have ponied up for the 150 at the time.

Yup. Dumb and lucky both.

Even at $850 it took some convincing.... because of it being a Combo, and the
color scheme as not exactly winning me over. :idk

I have seen heads as low as $1300 around here. I wasn't even looking for a
Combo. The seller told me Guitar Center offered him $450. :facepalm

Overall, he seemed very happy to be getting rid of it. Glad I took it! :beer

Haven't played or used the Fractal the past two nights. All Homester! :banana

Been an hot minute since an amp has captured my fancy so much. Those
V30s need to be exorcised and the spirit of the Homester cleansed and
purified so its true nature can more easily shine through.

V30s are the spawn of Satan!! :horse

Have you plugged it into different speakers? Or are you going to R&R the 30's?

It's really a spectacular amp. I kinda had stopped using mine for a few months then decided to randomly take it to a gig and had a total reawakening. Of course I traded the amp a few weeks later but I needed that Mark V good good and value wise trade seemed like a no brainer lol. Definitely want to get another one in the future

I have some Creambacks here and am going to try them in the Homester. Hoping
the Ohms align, as I am not sure what I have going on there.

I know V30s are iconic and people love them. I just have a loooooong history of
feeling they are both too stiff and too harsh. And I can't unhear that stiffness and
harshness.

Too many other speakers out there, and too many other great options to not be
satisfied.
