3.6 When ?

Nothing against the last update, it's a great update... But... Anyone else find it weird how many T75 cabs were in the update? It seems like that's not a very popular speaker relative to the greenback or creamback.

T75’s are probably on as many recordings as V30’s or Greenbacks, and certainly way way more than both Creambacks combined. Absolutely justified having a few options of them, it’s one of the most popular and largest (and longest) selling Celestion speakers ever made

Has anyone mentioned a JCM800, Silver Jubilee and Greenbacks yet? :clint
60 years of recorded Marshalls + Celestions, it really is no rocket science, just keep adding more of that.
And Fenders... I guess, but who wants a tiny tweed combo when you can have a big ass Marshall+4x12. :p
WE HAVE TOO MANY MARSHALLS ALREADY. What about Park, NARB, CMI, Germino, Metropolous?

and even better, let’s remove all of the bright caps from them

how about something like a digitech trio plus? looper with built in drum machine and bass emulation.

honestly that's about the only thing i can think of at this point. 3.5 was amazing. the new amps are my current favorites, the cabs are amazing.

Maybe, but it seems like the only time I ever read about T75s here or on the old site is when people are complaining about them. What amps and styles of music are they commonly used with?

The main years of the G12T-75 were from 1985 to 1989.
In the early 90s the Vintage 30 and Greenback Reissue started to gain popularity and because they sounded and recorded better than the G12T-75 they quickly became the dominant speakers for everything to this day but G12T-75 is still used mostly in Metal.

Pre 65: Alnico speakers.
65-79: Pulsonic G12M and G12H Greenbacks.
79-84: G12-65, G12-80.
85-on: G12T-75, G12K-85/100.
86-on: Vintage 30, Classic Lead 80.
89-on: Greenback Reissue.
94-on: Alnico Blue Reissue.

Basically anywhere there is a 100W guitar amp, but also lots of combos have them stock. I’d say most of the time when you see a Marshall cabinet in a studio, it’s T75’s.

Some examples off the top of my head (there’s honestly going to be endless amounts that i’m not aware of):

Loads of stuff from the 90’s and 2000’s too - pretty sure it’ll be on stuff by Tool, System of a Down, Limp Bizkit and god knows how much other stuff. It’s definitely not just rock and metal but they’re the ones that immediately come to mind.

Yep. I hang on to a pair of them that came out of a early 90's Marshall cab I had. They are great for metal. Especially when well broken in.

Talk Box (and Vocoder if close to program). Guitarists and vocalists will love.
