My parents gave me a little tin of these at Christmas and at first I thought they wouldn’t be useful at all. They’re super thin. I thought they would just fall apart. So I just threw them in a drawer.
But yesterday I took one out and tried it and I was really surprised! They’re actually pretty cool and a fun alternative to the standard picks out there. Even though they’re thin they have a bit of rigidity to them. Somewhere around the same as a .88mm nylon pick
They have an amazing grip and the tone is sort of warm and natural without being too mellow. Different ones have a bit different tone and feel.
Because the wood is a little rougher than something like nylon they have a nice scratchy pick sound I really like a lot.
I might even use these for my shows this month.
They’re interesting. Definitely worth a try
