What Did You Do With Your Guitar(s) Today?

Upgraded the bridge on my Strat to “modern” string spacing (2-1/16”), courtesy of Fender and Callaham parts. No more string slippage.

Did a string change and full setup. 4/46” action at the 17th fret and still does full-step bends without fretting out. Not too shabby for a 7-1/4 radius board.

I am getting itchy for a new Bridge Pickup in the Charvel. Kind of over the Full Shred at this
point. On the hot spectrum it carries way too many Scoville Units for me. :facepalm

I so don't like swapping pickups either. Really want to try a Dimarzio Dreamcatcher. :idk

Damn it Dave, I was looking forward to that Charvel DK24 which by the way has a the Duncan full shred
Bad enough I will be swapping the pickups on the DK22

:D

It's not the pickup. It's me.

It has been fine in there the 4+ years I have owned it. Just feeling frisky and curious. :idk

You may not want to come play my Sabre HT :headbang But then, dynamics :rollsafe

Technically, I did this Friday night but just got the video today and I didn’t want to make a new thread for it. My buddy does metal covers of theme songs for shits and giggles and asked me if I’d do the solo for the ”King Of The Hill” theme (and the intro because he doesn’t have an acoustic).

Got out my #1 this morning for a little love and a restring. Good cleaning, polished frets, conditioned fretboard, and installed new tuners. I always hated the cheap "Classic" looking stock tuners that came on it. I ordered a wood reamer from Amazon and put in these Grovers I had for quite a while for another project that didnt work out, lol. Let me know what you think!

Out with the old, in with the new...

Selling it. :idk

Have a guy coming over to look at some guitars and amps and pedals today. Pretty sure he is locked into
buying one of my Les Pauls, and if I can get him to leave with some other stuff I damn sure will.

Realized I have too much stuff and it is bogging down the energy here. Bad Feng Shui!

I'll always play one way or another, but I have had my fun and been out there pounding the pavement
going to and fro for gigs. Those days are done. Old fart is going to old fart it and transition to some
other avenues in life, and freeing up some stagnant energy and making more room in my life for some
new experiences is where I am at.
Love it, particularly the last paragraph.
Good stuff.

Me??
I’m ALWAYS jammin’.
Look, I get it, y’all think
I’m a few sandwiches short of a picnic, I get it.
I’m not Strange, I’m Jay Strange.
I play guitar solo’s with comments on gear forums & YouTube.
-you make ANY comment, I find the key & the groove.. and begin improvising with words.
“Mining the seam”.
I write words INSIDE of words, if you pay attention.
I’m not talking Bam Margera’s numeric system he created, btw.
What this ultimately does?
-it doesn’t matter what instrument I’m playing,
I’m on the edge of the coin listening with PRECISION & POISE ready to let it rip.
