Just started Hollow Knight on game pass following reading here. Harder than it looks and on so frustrating at times early on, but very addictive.
No clue what I'm doing, but enjoying so far.
Beat his ass on the third try![]()
Took me about 12 attempts to do thatBeat his ass on the third try![]()
He was a beast dude, the first time I was obliterated, second time I kind of got the rhythm down, third time I had low health but I was aggressive as fuck lol. I haven’t had this fun of a time with a sidescroller in a long time, kinda brings me back to my childhood a bitTook me about 12 attempts to do that![]()
It's a really great, and for me quite refreshing, game. I tend to play offline games such as fallout, Skyrim, sniper elite. Anything where you can take your time and stealth plays a decent role.He was a beast dude, the first time I was obliterated, second time I kind of got the rhythm down, third time I had low health but I was aggressive as fuck lol. “Just one more go” is the theme here lolIt's a really great, and for me quite refreshing, game. I tend to play offline games such as fallout, Skyrim, sniper elite. Anything where you can take your time and stealth plays a decent role.
This though is so addictive, after failing a few times I think I'll turn it off but then have just one more go![]()
I got nothin'.Sucked back in to PoE2 addiction with the huge new update
Zero complaints so far; only pure win.
(Bonus points for proper use of the word "addictive". Everyone simultaneously dropped that term in favor of "addicting" about 15 years ago and it really gets under my skin.)It's a really great, and for me quite refreshing, game. Ah! I should really take a proper stab at Pillars of Eternity one of these days. I LOVED Divinity Original Sin (the first one, never finished the second one) and they look somewhat similar.
I edited my post to use the proper word(Bonus points for proper use of the word "addictive". Everyone simultaneously dropped that term in favor of "addicting" about 15 years ago and it really gets under my skin.)
I loved Hollow Knight, but after a certain point I had to finally just walk away from it. The bosses weren't the issue. (Though I did cheat and have a friend take out Hornet for me.) The increasingly tedious platforming challenges (e.g. "pogo shrooms") vs. insta-death - that was an issue.
Harder to get excited about Silk Song having never finished Hollow Knight.
