Video Games

I looked at my PlayStation app this morning and it said I had PlayStation Stars points to redeem.

I just traded them for €40 into my PS wallet. Looks like I'm getting Silksong for free.

I have to keep taking breaks as the thought of getting back up off the bench at the start and going all the way back to the false knight to get squashed again can wear you out 🤣

I got Hollow Knight cuz y’all were talking about it and it was only $15. About to attempt to kill the False Knight for the second time lol - this game is fun!

This game is addictive - just spent an hour mindlessly wandering trying to catch up to the dude/lady idk what it is with a spear. Ran into some big dude with a shield and died twice lol

Took me about 12 attempts to do that 🤣
He was a beast dude, the first time I was obliterated, second time I kind of got the rhythm down, third time I had low health but I was aggressive as fuck lol. I haven’t had this fun of a time with a sidescroller in a long time, kinda brings me back to my childhood a bit

It's a really great, and for me quite refreshing, game. I tend to play offline games such as fallout, Skyrim, sniper elite. Anything where you can take your time and stealth plays a decent role.

This though is so addictive, after failing a few times I think I'll turn it off but then have just one more go 🤣

“Just one more go” is the theme here lol

(Bonus points for proper use of the word "addictive". Everyone simultaneously dropped that term in favor of "addicting" about 15 years ago and it really gets under my skin.)

I loved Hollow Knight, but after a certain point I had to finally just walk away from it. The bosses weren't the issue. (Though I did cheat and have a friend take out Hornet for me.) The increasingly tedious platforming challenges (e.g. "pogo shrooms") vs. insta-death - that was an issue.

Harder to get excited about Silk Song having never finished Hollow Knight.
