So I'll preface by saying I haven't really played video games since college lol. My friend got one of those hand held emulators with thousands of old games and i gotta say I'm interested haha.

There seem to be a lot of them and not knowing much about them I figured I ask yall if you have one or recommend one?

Under $100 pls. I think he got a gamelab and said he likes it so far. I was more of a sega guy back in the day so having the og genesis would be sweet plus the playstation. Also can they all send to your TV too or do you have to look for that function?

Thanks!

I thought this was going to be another Fleshlight thread…

Look Ma, no hands

I just sold my PSP for super cheap not too long ago. I had everything from Gameboy, Sega Genesis, SNES, PS1. My son loved that thing but it needed new, readily available parts to function.

I forgot I have a PSP! I am in the video games thread griping about nothing to play but I think I have a pile of PSP games somewhere. I should dig 'em out.

I doubt you're into such tomfoolery but if you can find someone to root it for you, the sky is the limit as far as old school emulators. That is if anything like that is even hosted anymore. I'm a little out of the loop

That kind of tomfoolery I am into :guinessIm going to dig it out over the weekend and see what kind of shape it's in \m/

I'm pleasantly suprised. If you can root a PSP and sideload an OS you can handle Reaper :hmm
It should be the same brain handling both of these tasks but when I am in the rare zone to be recording; I need nothing technical (beyond my own playing abilities) getting in the way of my recycled Devin does Nu metal riffing (terribly) :rofl

Got this up and running. Had to use a different older PSP battery because the OG had exploded. I have a few more games but these spoke to me.

From all the info I could glean; rooting it would give me access to older platforms which could be fun but I actually like the level of fidelity the PSP games operate at? I got it up to latest fw (v 6.61) with a few temporary network security adjustments on my cell phone hot spot. If I did root it; it would be 100% for the experience of rooting it vs. any actual gaming benefit. NTTAWWT. I also didn't dig into how reversible it could be. I think you can run custom fw off the memory card but that didn't seem like it would be worth it. Great little handheld either way \m/
