For real though; dude might be my fave FS boss/soundtrack combo ever

Crazy stoked for the ultra goat

I just started playing Assassin's Creed Mirage, and despite the mixed reviews I find it refreshing. I loved Odyssey, didn't jive with Valhalla despite loving Norse mythology and culture. I'm happy to be back in a bustling city with large towers and tons of parkour opportunities. When I'm done with this one I may pick up Shadows.

Finished Metro: Last Light the other day. It was def better than the first Metro gameplay wize. Both nice game for their age. I guess the story is the interesting stuff about those games, and the obvious connection and "feel" to the Stalker and DayZ type of games.
Based on books, i guess they could have been written and executed stuff better, but hey... small game dev for that time and they did good. MEtro Last Light had a lot of "sneak and kill" segments which i found so entertaining that i had to replay several levels over and over just to find the optimal sneak and kill solutions without raising alarm.

Started Exodus last night and it seems (and looks) like a big step up from the previous two, gameplay and graphics. The story about Artyom and his struggles with the post-war world continues. I recommend all three if you can find it as a pack deal.

That’s a bummer to hear the PS5 controllers tend to suck. I think I’m coming up on a year of having mine and despite my dog knocking it off the couch every other day, it’s still working great outside of needing to be charged every couple hours. I usually just end up playing with it plugged in.

I haven’t turned Death Stranding 2 on in about 2 weeks, I got on a music kick and haven’t wanted to interrupt it!

I’d have to imagine that new Ghost of Tsushima is on the horizon and I’ll probably check out the AC: Shadows once it drops as well, though the AC games are REALLY hit or miss for me. It’ll be hard to beat Odyssey, that’s for sure.

I own three: 2x DualSense and 1x DualSense Edge.

The oldest DS that came with the PS5 is iffy on one of its sticks where it feels a bit loose and seems to sometimes drift a bit. It works but has seen better days.

The battery life on all 3 sucks, and is somehow even worse on the pricy DS Edge. I bought a two controller charging dock for cheap when I was in Japan. It's a lifesaver for these as there's always one controller charged up and ready to go.

The DS Edge is hugely overpriced for what it is. I bought it used for a fair price in Japan, would never pay full price for it. IMO this should have been the standard PS5 controller, and the back paddles should be separate buttons instead of replicating others. I use this mostly for PC gaming actually as those extra buttons can be configured via Steam.

I got it mostly as a replacement for the discontinued Steam Controller which was my favorite. It's quirky with its dual touchpads but once set up for gyro aim, works remarkably well. I'd need to 3D-print a new shoulder paddle for it because the stock ones break - mostly from spamming block in Sekiro!

Yeah Oddysey is about the only one of those I really got on with. I was so excited to try Valhalla as I love that era's mythology but I find it to be such a poor game after playing Odyssey.

I started Valhalla but didn't get very far at all. It was also right around the time I was playing Ragnarok, if I remember right, and it was hard to move outside that world of mythology in comparison.

I mute just the shitty music in call of duty and I play Meshuggah through Apple Music on my Xbox/headset. It’s such a fuckin rush.

Really looking forward to Silksong. I played SO MUCH Hollow Knight, even though I couldn't get 112%, I beat all the Switch achievements and did get 107% or something like that.

Replayed Hollow Knight last week and then started replaying again, like a very casual and thorough playthrough where I tried to follow the intended route and read all the dialog and pick up lore, etc.

I may have to list a couple things to raise some money for a Switch 2 even.

I thought about replaying HK in anticipation but couldn't find the time; def buying SS immediately though

There seems to be a lot of streamers who are playing through HK for the first time in anticipation, it's kind of fun watching them struggle early on, find joy in the art and music, and then get better as the game is so good at making you better.

Also I have been listening to the OST and it's really damn good. I'm not really a classical music or soundtrack guy but it's really well composed. Fun to listen to with my daughter who's big into classical music and has been learning piano, violin, and cello.
