Video Games

Steam, XBox, Nintendo, and PlayStation are all crashed and people are having trouble getting Silksong.

LMAO.

Just started Hollow Knight on game pass following reading here. Harder than it looks and on so frustrating at times early on, but very addictive.

No clue what I'm doing, but enjoying so far.

Oh man enjoy the early days as much as you can!

When I started HK I had no idea what I was doing either, it took hours to figure out where to go in the first part. Don't worry, that's the game teaching you how to get better. And the first boss battle seemed impossible, but again the game is teaching you how to play! It's all intentional and so well done.

HK just nailed everything great about the Metroidvania genre. The artwork and music is amazing, the level design and progression is great, movement is so precise and fluid, and even though I didn't like hard boss battles going into the game I got a lot of appreciation for that. It's a top 5 all time game for me.

Switch FTW I guess, I bought it with no issues on the Nintendo store a couple hours ago, downloaded pretty quickly, and played for 30 minutes on my lunch break. It's going to be fun getting completely lost in a new everything and figuring out the new movements and all that.

I might pick up a Switch 2 over the weekend but so far it looks and plays great on the regular Switch. I think the big difference is going to be a bit sharper image on the Switch 2 and higher frame rate which I'm not sure I'd notice (well I probably would notice going backwards). But my controllers are dying so at some point I'll upgrade.

Coming from the golden gameboy era, I think the Switch is the best gaming platform created to date. I have so much fun with it

It's the much anticipated, long-awaited sequel to one of the most beloved / most-successful indie games of all time. People are extremely excited because it's been radio silence from the devs for like six years. lol.

Hollow Knight itself is one of the best "metroidvania" games ever, and Silksong is set to be even bigger and more detailed compared to the original.
