How's online coop?

The co-op itself is great, seamless and painless tbh

Just open the social menu, search for a buddy's character name, click invite to party and you're done. You both have the option of instantly teleporting to one another at any time

The game did just release in early access on Friday and there are a fuckload of people playing so there have been some server disconnects but nothing crazy; any time that happened I was able to get back in within 5 mins tops

Hmm... early access so far, half the game playable, new classes to be available on release, microtransactions, not a Diablo player...

I'll wait.

Played some multiplayer on POE2 today. Works very well though because my Monk build involves palm striking near dead enemies to gain energy to feed other abilities, and enemies were getting wiped out before I had a chance to do that, I felt like a third wheel.

Overall, though, I think this game is excellent and is better than Diablo 4 in just about every way. Even the ideas it steals from that game they just execute better. Bosses are so much fun too.

I got hardstuck on the final boss of act 2 playing solo last night

Had to get my monk bud to jump in and carry me this morning :rofl

I feel like the Mercenary is exceptionally OP in act 1 but starts to fall all after that (especially against bosses) but it's probably just cuz i'm a noob

Either way it's so much fun and crazy addicting lol

Jynx if you ever need someone to run with my character name is Breaseses lmao

Whatever the skill is that lets you drop a big bell and bang the crap out of it is crazy good

Restarted POE2 now that I have a better grasp on it and realised mistakes were made.

I spent a level three skill jewel levelling a skill up when I should've used it to buy a level 3 skill.

Going to make my new monk an air based one instead of lightning one too for better co-op coherency.

My monk's name is Aer_Friar

Finished Metroid Dread, and started Teardown. For those not familiar with it, it's a game where you can break literally everything in the level and use that to your advantage to perform various different heists.

In Teardown it's fun to think of stuff like "Ok, I need to get on 4 opposite sides of the level and before the alarm goes off, steal two things and manage to cram two cars into a truck and escape in it". The solution was to bring the cars with alarms right near the trailer using a boat and another truck, then go to "take thing A" place, take it, quickly jump out of the window, grab a boat, ride it to the opposite side, steal thing B, then take the boat back to the trailer and quickly cram in the cars.

A lot of games announced at the game awards last night. The big ones include Slay the Spire 2, Borderlands 4, The Witcher 4, Elden Ring: Nightreign and, Okami 2!

Had to try Death Stranding now when it’s weirdly on Xbox. Brilliant stuff. Very cinematic and interesting, emotional and weird. Awesome sound and graphics. Can imagine myself getting hooked on this game. Who doesn’t wanna be Daryl Dixon for sakes!!!

That game really stands alone for me, I’ve never played anything else like it. The story is remarkably original and had me hooked throughout, the graphics are outstanding and that soundtrack brings a whole different type of immersion to it.

When you come out of a BT incident, the rain clears and the sun comes out, then one of those somber Low Roar tunes starts playing, damn. Multiple emotions being evoked as a result of the graphics and soundtrack alone, never mind the story. The isolation/desolation, the keep on keeping on.

It certainly gets more fun as time goes on. When you start building the zip lines and getting around the map quicker there’s some freedom in that, just be cautious not to over utilize them or you start missing out on those walking scenes with the great music.

Also, don’t afraid of the MULEs, each take 2-3 punches and they’re down for the count while never really ganging up on you too much to handle them. If you get quick with snagging a case and throwing it at another MULE you can blast through a horde of them pretty quickly and pick up a ton of supplies in the process.

I’ve played it 3 or 4 times now and each time I recognize stuff I missed on previous plays. Can’t wait for the sequel!!

Cyberpunk went on sale a couple weeks ago so I finally got the PS5 version. Definitely an improvement from the PS4 version but found it funny there’s still some basic bugs in the game they haven’t resolved yet.

I’ll be playing it again in a short amount of time as I realized how different the gameplay is depending on which background you pick for your character. I was Street kid the first time, Corpo last week and next will be Nomad. This was my first time with the DLC, which made it a bit more fun than an average playthrough as it was integrated into the game rather than a post-game DLC.
