Video Games

Starting to clear out some of my backlog and that meant finishing Hogwarts Legacy. Honestly enjoyed it as I got more into it! Nothing groundbreaking but fun for what it was.

Now started Metaphor which is basically high fantasy persona. Almost 1:1 it's so similar lol so far I'm still early on but there has been better flow than P5

Had to try Death Stranding now when it’s weirdly on Xbox. Brilliant stuff. Very cinematic and interesting, emotional and weird. Awesome sound and graphics. Can imagine myself getting hooked on this game. Who doesn’t wanna be Daryl Dixon for sakes!!!

Spent an absurd amount of time in Path of Exile 2 over the weekend; loving the hell out of it
What platform are you playing on? It's early access across the board, right?

Do I understand correctly that this is similar to the Diablo series?

I have two 60-in one arcade machines and a digital pinball, which are all great. The only video game I play on a PC is AeroFly FS4 (flight sim) and that's running on a MacBook Air M2.

I'm playing on PC but it's got full crossplay with all platforms; been co-op'ing with a couple buds (one on PS5 and one on PC)

I've practically never put any real time in to Diablo but my buddies are Diablo uberfans and they currently both think PoE2 is a better game than Diablo 4

It is heavily inspired by Diablo 2 (according to them)

That game keeps dropping in price so I'm tempted at $15.

Right now I'm playing Moonstone Valley. It's alright...clearly some Stardew Valley inspiration but some Pokemon and card based battle as well. Honestly I'm not a big fan of either, but the card thing is actually kind of interesting.

I will say the positive feedback loop isn't all that strong so it's a neat casual distraction game but not super engaging.

Been playing Metroid Dread on Switch. My opinion of the game goes between "I like this" and "this is so frustrating". The control scheme is pretty awful and some of the actions are awkward to pull off, while the bosses can have weird difficulty spikes.

It's a very inaccessible game overall when you can't change e.g difficulty level without restarting all over etc.

Definitely worth $15! Especially so if you are a HP fan

I'll pick it up today while it's on sale! It dropped from like $50 to $30 to $21 and now $15.

I enjoyed the movies quite a bit, never read the books. My daughter was really big into HP so maybe she'll get a kick out of it too.
