There is, make ALL companies look bad!
I guess there's never a perfect road to take, no way to make everybody happy, especially not by being as objective as you possibly can.
Yes. The strings/neck/hardware has nothing to do with the feel.If feel of amplified guitar gear is 100% real, does that mean that playing an electric guitar unplugged has no feel?

And my personal favourite “ it seems boot time has increased from 17 seconds to 32 is there anything that can be done to fix this ?That's the truth. People will complain no matter what you do. I've seen people gripe endlessly when companies roll out new amp models or features (for free!).
Why do we need another Marshall variant!? Where's my DC30 jumped model?
Ugh! We don't need another improvement to the modeling algorithm. We need you to fix the horrible very bad useless user interface!
I hate it when my presets all need to be reworked because the updates to the algorithms alter the sound!
There are too many factory IR's to sort through and I can't find a good sound...
We need infinity more dyna cab models! I'll never be able to dial in my tone without a dyna cab model of a 1992 UK made for Mesa Boogie V30 in a Peavy Bandit cab!
If people can find a way to complain about free updates then you can rest assured that they will find a way to complain about anything you do. How dare you put out a video free to the viewing public on a topic that is entertaining and relevant to my particular niche interests!
I do think quality video clips can tell you a lot about some gear, depending on how well you jive with the creators style as well. It is hugely important.
Jon's videos are quite useful to me, because he goes for similar tones to what I go for. Conversely, someone like Burgs tells me absolutely dick all about gear, because he just doesn't play anything like me, doesn't go for the tones I go for, and isn't any kind of frame of reference for guitar playing in any shape whatsoever - for me, personally. Loads of people really rate his videos though.
That doesn't just go for amps, but it goes for effects too.
Not to go too off topic, but you can't seriously tell me that my Volante video here isn't useful and doesn't give you any idea of how the thing works and sounds:
I definitely agree you don't get the full picture, but they're not useless and they have value outside of mere entertainment.
Speaking of, @GuitarJon what are you using for drum tracks nowadays?
$100 Million question:My good old Steven Slate Drums 5.5. Love them and it's hard for me to move away from them. Sometimes I dabble with Superior or ML Drums. Maybe I need to get out of my comfort zone more but whenever I try other Drums I feel like they get in the way of the guitars more. For my channel it's obviously very important that the guitars are well audible in a mix. For some reason the Slate Drums work very nicely together with guitars and that's one of the reasons why I love them so much, aside from the fatness and punch.
$100 Million question:
How easy is it to get a drum track going with Slate? Easier than Toontrack stuff? I have EZ Drummer and it is easy. But I am more like LaZy Drummer
Programming. EZ Drummer is drag and drop* (but has some lazy man caveats that always make it easy for me to just not do anything productive recording wise and just play the same one finger drop D riffs with dual detune)In terms of the programming or the mix? I never use pre programmed loops so I program everything by hand. In that sense it doesn't matter which platform I use, for me anyway. I feel like Slate is much easier to work with than Superior but EZ Drummer should be more straightforward. Haven't used it though...

I really really like Jon’s riffs and song structure and are practically the only reason I even click on his videos.Really the big kicker is his demo songs are really well produced and exciting, so the gear sounds good.
For me, with respect to Jon; I am on this wavelength as well. The sounds the same thing has been going forever. I know and can use a number of the pieces in question successfully but I definitely have tonal preferences. At this stage; I don't really need anything re-proved to me on this gear.I really really like Jon’s riffs and song structure and are practically the only reason I even click on his videos.
videogamedunkey did a couple videos on this topic—about video game reviewers and the community’s responses to them. I’m not a professional reviewer (obviously), but I still appreciated his perspective. You may even resonate with or find his comments relatable.Back "on topic": you know what's funny? When you are too positive as a YouTuber / reviewer you get labeled as a shill and untrustworthy. But when you're honest and objective people also complain about many things. "Why does he want to make (insert company) look bad?" Etc. I guess there's never a perfect road to take, no way to make everybody happy, especially not by being as objective as you possibly can.
Don't get me wrong, I think that most people are actually nice so I don't have a lot to complain about when it comes to interactions with other humans. It's just something that I get to deal with often with my channel. Good thing I love doing this though!

Tribalism on the internet has always been big. I mean we do have some favorite and less favored brands here on TGF as well so we are certainly not above it.Back "on topic": you know what's funny?
