The Ugliest PRS to ever exist (EJ Protoype)

I may be wrong, and EJ may struggle financially at some point, but man, I see him as having
way too much integrity to align with PRS. Not that those who do don't.

I’ve wondered about that before, how he’s managed to survive off 3 albums that came out before albums stopped bringing income. He’s probably made some decent cash off “Cliffs Of Dover” over the years and he doesn’t seem to horde guitars or gear at all, he’s constantly selling/buying. He mentioned in a recent interview that he ‘doesn’t really think about money’ and the only people who say that are people who have enough money they don’t have to be concerned about it. :rofl

Honestly, EJ might be half-way interested in PRS now that the Silver Sky exists. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I know you probably meant this in jest, but the Silver Sky to my ears sounds more “hi-fi” if you will; definitely doesn’t sound like a generic “typical Strat.”

Kind of like how a G&L might look like a Fender, but it’s frequency response is different.

Plus, at his age, I doubt EJ would be much into trying new guitars.

Haha, no I meant it in earnest!
He's completely unlikely to actually move away from Fender at this point, but I feel like the SS could be close enough to his tastes - for PRS guitars, anyway.

Close enough doesn't exist in EJ's vocabulary , he has his own fretwire made for his strats....

He made an insane amount of money from his hit TV show "Ellen"

bitch slap slapping GIF

PRS is kind of like Carvin/Kissel to me; they have made guitars with the aesthetics of Gibson and Fender, but they really don’t SOUND like them at all.

That’s fine!

Often times people assume that just because a guitar brand LOOKS the same as another brand, that doesn’t mean that it will SOUND like them.

Different strokes for different folks.

:)

The difference between PRS and carbon/Kissel: PRS actually sound and look good :poop:

Honestly PRS unique sound is one of the big draws for me…
