I almost said boomer, but stylistically strikes me more as a "I was a kid/adolescent" in the 80s type of pun. Also thought I'd let Gen Xers feel seen for once

I almost said boomer, but stylistically strikes me more as a "I was a kid/adolescent" in the 80s type of pun.

Quite honestly, it sounds like a bad joke any adolescent boy would make. Still making reference to it in 2024 sounds like a joke someone that's still VERY salty about the death of hair metal would make.

Yeah we had terms like that for pretty much everything:

Rectifier = Rectumfrier
Ibanez = Ibeenhad
Mesa Boogie = Mesa Booger / Booger
Peavey = Skeezey / Pussy
Fender = Blender
Jackson = Jackoff
Kramer = Krummy / Lamer

And one particularly loathed amp of the time:
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe = Fender Hot Turd Deluxe
