Lame-o.

Guarantee they call you when they get their shit together. Guarantee by then you won't even care anymore, but you could hit them with the "New Practice Deal" scenario and it could work out to your advantage and have one negative crossed off the list.

If a member was to continue to be flaky to practices, those continued practices would be a good time to bring other replacements in who'd want to show up. Canceling practice because one person can't make it is not a good work ethic when you're actively trying to get something accomplished.

Dude, since this did excite you, you might consider just starting a new band. If you start from scratch, you can vet people right away. It doesn't have to be very serious, but you can at least see if there are people near you who respect your time. When people are flaky in that way, it really gets on my nerves, and I just can't do it.

I agree with everything you shared. :beer

If it was my show I would be laying down a different set of ground rules. :idk

The one bonus I have is the singer has not cancelled, owns the building and PA, and was the most
talented of the guys there. Drummer was great, too, and my age. It is the 30-something bass player
who cancelled 2x, and now the rhythm guitarist who cancelled this week.

I want nothing to do with managing people. Not one damn thing to do with that!! :rofl

I know I said it before, that perhaps this was part of the "tryout" - extracurricular bs to see how you handle it?! But, bah, I'd be tempted to handle it nice and calm when I tell them, "thanks but I don't think it's a fit, bruh".

There's a band out there looking for you and that will appreciate you. I kind of feel the same about my job atm, rofl.

Easier to do in a well-populated area.

Haha! Yup. Here it is all one form of compromise or another, and lots of driving. :beer

Summmer can be a busy time for people, so I am granting a pass at this point.

I also have my long-time friends who I jam with on Thursdays, so there is not any pressure
to do anything right now, one way or the other. :guiness
