Side note but are they running a silent stage? They are the last band I thought would do that! So odd not seeing stacks of amps.

Still amps and cabs, they just keep them behind the stage, probably to give the vocal mics as much clarity as possible. Those dudes do a LOT more actual singing than they used to!

I love Nick Johnston. Great player. But not a good match.

Do you know who is a far better match? Kim Thayil. Love his solo in this song.

Kim definitely has the “I’m just going for it” vibe, absolutely, but that’s kinda all he’s got going on with his solos, where Brent could at least have a beginning and end with the ‘going for it’ in the middle areas.
