Care to go a bit deeper and share your thoughts in a few sentences? FLB are awesome, so I'd guess this one's good as well.
Here's a blast from the past:
I used to play one of these live for a while, but stupidly traded it in with some other gear. Dumb!

Yep, fuzz is finicky. Especially the FF variety. They definitely shine with an overdriven amp though. I really loved the tone variations of the Tweak, it gave you better control and a useful OD sound when needed.Tweak Fuzz is awesome. Tried one ages ago, but thought it sounded lifeless and stiff. Little did I know about running fuzz into drive back then...![]()

This is a pretty screaming deal on a good fuzz face circuit. Switch the buffer off and I believe it’s identical to the current Dunlop Hendrix FF of the same color. No affiliation, just spotted the deal.
I have really grown to love MXR stuff. If I wanted a fuzz; I'd grab one of these \m/This is a pretty screaming deal on a good fuzz face circuit. Switch the buffer off and I believe it’s identical to the current Dunlop Hendrix FF of the same color. No affiliation, just spotted the deal.
Thanks for correcting my misinformation. It's similar to JHF1 but definitely not the same. Different feedback resistor values, output cap and uses BC108C transistors which will have much higher HFE than JHF1. The MXR will have more output volume too.
Definitely a killer deal though. Jeorge Tripps produces killer fuzz faces.
Thanks for correcting my misinformation.
