Gotta love how a fixed signal chain was a sign of Kemper being stuck in the past, but now on Nano Cortex it’s the future of guitar rigs
I know it's NDSP and how this forum feels about them. But boy have we all just taken a jaded approach on new gear.
I wonder what it will take to get back to excitement about new gear? Maybe it's a digital specific issue?
I agree it's weirdly limiting, but the Tone X has even fewer options.Hmm, Pre-FXs are only gate/transpose, while Post-FXs are chorus/delay/reverb?
That's... weirdly limiting. I think even the ToneX pedal has more options available.
The NC looks cool, don't get me wrong, but this is far from the HX Stomp killer some were predicting...
Man I love a tgf product release thread. Lot of smart dudes here with a sense of humor. These threads are always a fun read even when I won’t buy.
Reading 37 pages of a product I won’t buy:
Didn’t know this.Kemper Player is way more expensive, but will play any Kemper Rig, and comes with a shitton of FX.
I'm not saying they don't but it misses the point. When someone builds a board and uses a "mini" pedal for an amp, its because they have delays and reverbs and boosts they already like. The person who buys this pedal couldn't give a toss about the included reverb except as an occasional gap filler. Its for making and playing back captures.
For me the whole appeal of the QC is ease of use. Which is another way of saying I'm way too lazy to be making captures. I sigh in exasperation when I have to look at my phone to find some other fool's amp to download. For you QC owners how is the capture accuracy in general? I feel like I never really see anyone talk about qc captures, just nam and tonex really
On the QC ?(Unless you use spring reverb)
Especially if you like the unique selling points of the QC, all of which have been trimmed away.
Also if you give the power to capture at 549 I can imagine the mass amount of less than stellar ones hitting the cloud will be exponentialFor me the whole appeal of the QC is ease of use. Which is another way of saying I'm way too lazy to be making captures. I sigh in exasperation when I have to look at my phone to find some other fool's amp to download.
Please also no firmware updates and low boot time for that one dudeThat actually is not bad considering the are promoting
100% gapless switching
For $150 more you get:Then, why this over the $399 Tonex pedal?
I know you don't view it as such but onboard capturing is being greatly overlooked on your end imoThen, why this over the $399 Tonex pedal?
But no Poo Knobs. Don't think about that one too hard... ...he said hard... I'll see myself out...You've still got some poo switches. But this is not a QC, that's for sure.
For me when I owned a QC the captures I tried didn’t get me any better results than a typical modeler. The Kemper and IK offerings did sound a bit better. I may snag in of these to try for fun. Right now the Tone X is sounding just fine for me.For you QC owners how is the capture accuracy in general? I feel like I never really see anyone talk about qc captures, just nam and tonex really
Don't forget twisty foot switches. For $150 more you get:
(Probably) a better gate
Transpose
Delay
Modulation
Expression Pedal
Onboard capturing
MIDI over USB
etc.
(Also: I don't know if you've ever used a ToneX pedal, but NDSP would have needed to try really hard to make the Nano less pleasant.)
After Wallwartgate, who can blame them LOL.It doesn't come with a Power Supply?
