I think I see tiny Digitech/EHX-style LED button combos. My right eye is already twitching. "I can't see the color when my finger is pressing the switch!!!"

I feel the UI/UX is the best feature and this cuts it.
Agree, and we don't yet know what else has been cut. If it's literally an entire QC - or even one DSP (2 lanes) - minus the UI... maybe. But if the UI sucks and the device list is nerfed or it runs 6 blocks or whatever... Hmm.

No pleasing you people. "They're too close together!" "They're too far apart!" :D

For a bedroom player who's creating new presets and making edits all the damned time... the devil's in the details, I guess. It makes sense on paper, but 9x out of 10 I get annoyed with needing the extra device (whose battery is always dead LOL), the Bluetooth connection that needs to be re-paired every hour for no obvious reason, etc.

Well, I'd say what you usually read from bedroom players is "I use the editor 99% of my time when creating new <insert_unit_name> patches".
Besides, I'd also expect this thing to have USB as well.

Good point re: USB. I've gotten very spoiled doing all of my editing on the QC itself. I just prefer the immediacy of touchscreen + encoders. But Cortex Control is really good. If a similar (or same) app worked with the Nano, that would probably be great.

If this is just a little pedal that only has Captures and has reasonable power requirements I’d be interested… unless their marketing drives me away.

I still haven’t watched the video because there’s a chance I might be interested in this, and I don’t want them to ruin it for me

Text documents and VCR controls or GTFO! :rofl
Yesterday I realized how I needed to replace the rotary block in my gigging preset on the FM3 (which is :chef ) with a flanger block. Replacing the block using onboard controls was no biggie. Though I did want to load up the flanger I have saved in my library so I fired up the editor instead.

This brought me to the joyful task of changing my switching configurations. The hubbub about Enter Shuntman/"Do I hit the edit or the enter button?"gate is absolute child's play in comparison to footswitch configuration hell in the FM.

Don't watch the film as it has nothing to do with the product and will waste your time

Re: price .... the full QC is $US 1700. I cant see anyway they would release a $US 1200 unit as it would need to have "most" of the main units features and functionalities and therefore would certainly cannibalize QC sales.

If its a US$600 <-> US $800 that's a great sweet spot ..... but it would be massively stripped back to being maybe just a Capture Player or Plugin and Capture Player.

HX Stomp is $ US 650 ... and apart from its [obvious] Block limit, you get %100 totally absolutely full helix functionality ... astonishing what L6 have done with the stomp.

The more I think about it, I don't think NDSP will do a "HX Stomp".

I think it heavily depends on where the hardware costs are, how much is profit margin and R&D cost. The most expensive individual parts will the the processor and the aluminium chassis.

Reduce the chassis cost (e.g plastic chassis), put in a less capable processor that is compatible, reduce the I/O and encoders for cost savings, smaller touchscreen will be cheaper. They could have it entirely manufactured in China instead of assembled in Finland.

I think that should make it possible to push a similar device to the $1000 or even under bracket and rely more on volume sales, more people buying plugins etc.
