How was lunch yesterday?Jesus fucking christ get to the goddamn point you fucking dolts.
At least now someone w a size 15 shoe can’t complain
Well this could be technically a stomp if it has all the ampsWhilst we don't know what this is, given the massive, universal success and "everywhere'ness" of the Helix Stomp .... I would have thought some sort of "baby / nano" QC equivalent of the Stomp would have been a total no-brainer and fly out the door (?)
Ben
Looking at Reddit where you have a different demographic, it's easy to see why e.g the Tonex One is a hit. It's cheap and sounds good.
Working in music tech, I'm basically surrounded by complainers; people who are paid to complain about stuff so that it gets fixed!!!I actually just need to look around among folks I personally know. Apart from somewhat nerdier guys, nobody even complains about the abysmal software, UI issues, lack of accuracy or whatever. They're just using the thing. And yes, most of them have pretty good ears.
I certainly hope not, because they didn't.WTF did they really have to make a Hollywood movie?
Yeah, who do they think they are? Modeler Wars??"Episode 1"
Fuck this. I'm out.
If it doesn't run the same codebase with autodetection for the host h/w platform, then they've already shit the bed. But I'm hopeful it will. The video is goofy AF, but I still want one of these things if the price is right. If the quad cortex is like 1600€, the "mini cortex" will probably be like 1200€
Also it will take 3 years until the first fw update.
And the boot time is going to be 4 minutes.
Text documents and VCR controls or GTFO!We must all be Fractal users?
yes, even those of us that isn't... is, just because.
I agree, much of the appeal of the QC - robust I/O, many encoders, etc. - vanishes once you start trying to downsize. I'm only interested because I've already got a QC, and I'd like something similar, familiar, and more affordable that I can take with me while the full-fat QC remains in "octopus mode" in the studio. (HX Stomp doesn't sound as good to me; FM3 is a daunting workflow change and comes with some significant limitations... which may also be true of this new NDSP product... wouldn't it be nice if they'd just *!^&# tell us already?)Hmmm. So they're gonna have a Cortex mini type thing... with a different chasis size and form factor... I'm guessing it will be smaller and have fewer switches.... I think if I am going to get one of these, it'll still be the Quad. A Dual isn't that interesting to me really.
Well, that's either not an MFX unit, or it's an MFX unit that will be nigh impossible to operate. No touchscreen, no sale.
Now having seen the "Nanocortex" apparent leak picture I'd say 500-600 would be very realistic. If it doesn't run the same codebase with autodetection for the host h/w platform, then they've already shit the bed. But I'm hopeful it will. The video is goofy AF, but I still want one of these things if the price is right.

5 effects , 5 cabs
Plus amp model and gate and you have 8 blocks
If it’s Bluetooth IOS app controlled
There is your touchscreen
I'm still trying to catch up. Haven't seen the photo. I'm thinking anything that would sell at that price point would be too different to run the same codebase as the QC. Or for my comment to that effect to be even remotely relevant. Now having seen the "Nanocortex" apparent leak picture I'd say 500-600 would be very realistic.
Which is probably why it is so hard to get things to change from a users perspective. Because there simply aren't enough people complaining about that ONE thing that for you, kills a product dead.

I can definitely see where this would have appeal for some players: a small module integrated on a pedal board, and an iPad on mic stand to control it. Especially appealing for set-and-forget scenarios where you get things in order and perform without a ton of changes thereafter.
