I’m never going to capture an amp. I have so many good models in the axefxIII I have no interest. I’d play other people’s captures.
9 out of 10 times I reamp into the Friedman Phil X or if I need modern heavy, the Mezzabarba Trinity. How can someone find “your sound” if we constantly play 9000 different models, captures, amps etc. Pick a sound you love and make music. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you. I say this as someone who just bought a HX stomp XL haha. We always end up tweaking it to a small handful of go-to sounds it seems. Although it can be inspiring to hear a preset you otherwise wouldn't have thought up naturally, and work a song around it.

I played out last night. Same preset I wrote 2 years ago and haven’t touched it since. Pulled the IEM out mid set and heard what was coming over the PA and loved what I was hearing. There’s a point it’s just done and time to work.

How about being paid for a demo that puts something in its best light?

I mean, he's effectively being paid to make a commercial, so the fact he even mentions gripes at all is surprising in itself. Imagine watching a Corn Flakes commercial and the announcer says "These really taste great, they kinda remind me of dried scabs off a burn victim but if you focus on the light golden color in every flake that's packed full of all natural flavor you'll forget all about that"

The other aspect is that Pete's got a direct line of communication with these companies and can give them plenty of input on how to make things better. I'd imagine the companies he does work for are much more open to his input than the sum of TGP or even TGF. Hahaha and I doubt he likes agreeing to do something and then running into a bunch of BS along the way and then has to avoid said BS when making the video.

I saw one on Ola's desk in his vid today, not sure if he released a demo on it yet or not but that should be interesting.

Had nothing better to do. I feel like I need a shower after combing through just 5 minutes of his teenage girl like emotional responses to otherwise fair counterpoints. Granted one or 2 people had a fuck you coming to them, but from the best I can see this guy didn’t.
Pete isn’t interested in actually fixing an issue he only has cursory perspective and knowledge of. He wants the (non) solution he hears parroted because he lacks both the information and ability of logical thought to actually consider anything else. Rinse and repeat on the rest of the bullshit.

People who actually want to talk about these issues will usually find others to talk with on their level of intellect. The trash will argue stupidly, while the schooled folk will exchange ideas and be all the better for it.

Apparently he needs to start frequenting kindergarten playgrounds.

This particular issue he’s hot on, I can make compelling arguments on both sides of the coin and discuss those issues candidly while bringing personal life experiences, training and knowledge to the table.

Pete brings “fuck you” to the table. What sense does this make? Me, I’m a nobody and have no product to sell anyone. I’m not putting out a record, trying to sell tickets to my show or running a live YouTube super chat to eke out my living. This makes double no sense for him. If Gene Simmons or Jon Bon Jovi did this I’d get it more. Him? I can only reference a great movie, That Thing You Do. “ Oh come on. Oh, there he goes off to his room to write that hit song ‘Alone in my principles’”. I’m 1 person, he’s lost my support. Who cares, right? What about 10 people? 100? 1000? Here’s the thing, musicians or even social media folks getting into political stuff particularly in the US leave themself open to loose about half their audience.
If principles are that important go for it, maybe a career in politics be better.

Bottomline…In life we are indeed free to do as we please, let’s just not forget that comes with consequences.

Well, my first wife was/is very politically engaged and would not talk to people because of difference in opinion. I’m gonna go what I learned living in Asia after the US, certain discussions are simply unnecessary because the result is futile.
I see this in Germany with guys young enough to be my son, very strong opinions they haven’t learned to temper.

But hey not my circus, not my monkeys.
