Yeah, we won't usually make it to midnight either. My wife and I are considering to just go to bed at 22:30 cause why not … children wake up no matter how much champagne I’ve been drinking
Yeah, we won't usually make it to midnight either.
We don't have kids.
It's just not the same as it was in our younger days though. We have no desire to get out and about on New Year's Eve anymore.
Same!Without being sentimental but my wife is my best friend so I don’t even need other people around me. She goes to bed earlier than me on New Year’s Eve almost always. So then I put on some good music, some nice whiskey … and that’s it.
Not sure I'd ever want to get used to that schedule!I have one of those freaky jobs that involves an alarm clock set to 1:30AM, and have been on this schedule for the past twenty years. I used to be able to stay awake until midnight, but at this point in my life my body simply refuses to allow me to beat up on it in that manner. In theory I *could* get up a bit early for it, but on my days off I kinda like being able to sleep in until 3:00, so screw that noise.
Not sure I'd ever want to get used to that schedule!
It took a while, but now it's just normal to me. The pay makes it much more palatable as well.
