You can tell from the annual ring pattern in that denim guitar that they just grabbed two random pieces of maple and threw them together without even taking a glance at how it looked.
Sweet book-match!
Whatever it is on that one it was the one they chose to represent the model in marketing materials so I assume it looks the way they want it to look.
I can guarantee you no company just throws out something random they didn’t even care to look at in their marketing campaigns
This is more of what I’d expect for that cost:Those look terrible. They look like random pieces.
@GLiDE BPM over at the Fractal Forum has a very sexy, green DGT:Green is my favorite color.
It was a stock photo of a production guitar from a retailer. Not from Gibson.
That’s lazy marketing IMO. If I’m shopping for a guitar on your website, I want to see exactly what I’m shopping for. Sure, it’s fine for solid finishes, but when it comes to figured tops, actual pictures matter. With their “Guitar Gallery,” Sweetwater is one of the few who is doing it right. It’s a stock photo supplied by Gibson to retailers though. Not one the retailer took themselves of stock they have
