New amp switcher day! KHE Audio 4x4 FX

I know it's a mess but I had to just throw it all together to play with it, will clean up and make it pretty later.

Ordered one, took about a week to show up, Amazing piece of kit. I wish they had a 4x2 x2 FX. I only have 2 cabs, could use even more amps but I really wish I could have my FM9/Helix or my pedal board able to be in the loop via a switch but that is just a wish thing.

Now I am messing with my amps that are super close to pick the keeper, for instance I have 2 5150 III S's, 1 EL34 and 1 6L6, the switch is absolutely amazing for comparing. Then I can get down to the 4 amps I want all the time. Maybe thin out the things that are too close to bother with. Replace it with something else on the list.

But so nice to just have the ability to flip some switches and no f'n around unplugging and replugging for even a second!

I think I need a 2 U or maybe a 4 U rack for the switch and power and maybe a future Synergy....

How do the two Boogies compare???
They are very close and very different, the JP2C is really 3 channels w/o modes and more mid forward. It's still very awesome and flexible but the Mark V can do more with modes but I really am not playing anything but channel 3 on the Mark V personally. I doubt the Marks are going anywhere ever or the Dual Rec out of frame.

I feels you. My Mark V and Dual Recto are lifers, as is my JVM. The other amps are all subject to taste.... and at the moment I don't feel THAT strongly about any of them. But not intending on getting rid of them.

I am planning on getting a KHE switcher next year.

I would imagine you would get it quicker than to the US. Switzerland to the US was 1 week. England might be just a few days.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo....

There's a 5150III EVH el34 combo on marketplace for $700. What's the deal? Is it worth owning alongside the Stealth?
Is it a 5150III S like my combo? If so it's very close IMHO but the Green Blue channel is a bit different. There is a mod I would have to find again on this forum to clip a resistor or cap to make it more like the 6l6 S"tealth"s.

I believe mod makes it more like the 6l6 blue channel. I need it like a hole in my head so really it's money wasted, even if it's at a "good" price.

No worries. I think I talked myself out of it for the 17th time anyway :rofl
I think the EL34 is a bit more scooped to my ears but I think you can dial that out, the biggest difference to me is the speakers, before my switch I was only playing the Stealth on the Mesa V30's, now with the switch I can move them both around and they are so close I personally don't think it's worth owning both. I started with the combo and found the Stealth locally for $650 that I couldn't pass up but I prefer the head at this point because I like the V30's more than the G12H's. the G12H's honestly could need to be broke in better maybe but I don't think it will be what my ears are digging.

Oh man, I wish I didn't look this thing up, the fact that it can switch your FX loop too makes this EXTREMELTY appealing to me. AND it has an attenuator insert? Holy crap!
And they can be linked and daisy chained...for a possibility of ...get this...120x60🤯
