NDSP Plugin Teaser SOON (Archetype Mateus Asato)

Let’s all remember someone might use this new plug-in to create a hit song, or channel their inner creativity in a way that adds meaning to their lives, and joy or inspiration to others.

What, and pass over the older ones?! Sir, this attitude is not going to put food on Cresp's plate.

seriously, NDSP plugins sound damn nice. i just wish they stopped selling the same thing over and over.

I typically still use Native but I found some stuff by STL that I'd say is as good as any NDSP plugs.

Plini update ain’t it?
would make sense with QC support. hoping it’s something new though.

I rate STL a lot, I think their recent offerings are all excellent and have definitely stepped it up. Different approach to Neural though and typically I find Neural to sound a bit more realistic to my amps. STL have a collection of amps that’s pretty unrivalled - Krank, MT15, JSX/XXX etc

Huh, the glimpse of th QC makes me think it may not be a plugin? Idk, feels different

Archetype Qc control

Honestly I think if they dared to launch dual cortex or another box without editor or plug in support that would break the internet

Showing the QC in a plug-in promo is definitely atypical and intriguing, but it seems a stretch for it to be some significant QC portable thing after the plugin dev update last week.

:idk

True. Maybe it's a new plugin plus Plini X (although as they mentioned while Plini X is compatible with the QC, th QC isn't compatible with it at launch?) Wouldn't make sense to plug that as a huge announcement when the end goal still isn't accomplished. But then again I could see NDSP doing that lol

My best guess is the king awaited Archetype: Devin Townsend, buuuuut it's natively an Archetype X version, so it'll be ready for porting as soon as they get that mythical firmware update out there.

In fact, I think all plugins will show a QC in the graphics going forward.

That would make most sense however from their update about an update when asked if future plugins be launched as QC ready:

"Not necessarily. Some plugin features take a long time to implement on Quad Cortex, and we do not wish to delay the launch of a plugin until it is fully compatible with Quad Cortex."

All of our plug-ins are compatible with the Quad cortex
However Quad Cortex is not compatible with all of our plug-ins

Why would you even announce this ?

the usual clean , crunch and lead , I think all the Archetypes have 3 core sounds do they not ?
No idea. Never used them. I loathe Neural DSP, but will insta-buy if it’s anything Devy-related, which has apparently been in the works for some time.

Again, my prediction: this will be indeed the Devin Townsend plugin, long confirmed to be in the works. Signature effect? Some dual delay/reverb variant, much like his Ocean Machine pedal. The guy loves crafting ambient soundscapes.

What's got me puzzled is which amps they're modeling, because Dev has been touring, and recording, AxeFX for quite some time now. He used to play a lot of 5150s and Dual Rectos back in the day though, and Neural definitely has those tones super well covered.

ngl, NDSP selling a plugin based on a Fractal model would be just :chef

All in all, i'm torn. I love Townsend and will try to support him on whatever he does, but man, giving money to NDSP these days feels... off.

I’d be doing it for the team, so to speak. I know that Neural DSP will be getting their cut, but so will Devin. That man goes out of his way to please his fans; above and beyond many other artists IMO.
