Someone get this man a 6 pack! The good news is I won’t be spending any money today.
My best guess is the king awaited Archetype: Devin Townsend, buuuuut it's natively an Archetype X version, so it'll be ready for porting as soon as they get that mythical firmware update out there.
In fact, I think all plugins will show a QC in the graphics going forward.
Thanks to neural DSP, my A1C has never been lower!Always trust Neural to release something that falls into two categories:
- Prog Metal
- Bland Fusion Infomercial @ 2am While Wearing a Turtleneck Music

Joke aside, they now sell, what? 7 different plugins covering the exact same tone types?
People scoffed at the Tom Morello Archetype, but hell, at least it was trying something different.
Tbh id prefer the plugins of amps vs peopleAll the jokes are dead on, but to be fair to NDSP....that's their demographic. Heck, that's the demographic for most "new" guitar-based music.
They have traditional rock offerings with the Soldano, Fortin Cali and Mesa Mark IIC suites, but who would be the personality they could base an Archetype on that'd be relevant to modern audiences?
I definitely accept that I’m out of touch with guys like Plini, Henson, Asato and even Wong to a degree (although I’d heard of him already). All the jokes are dead on, but to be fair to NDSP....that's their demographic. Heck, that's the demographic for most "new" guitar-based music.

Given they’ve done Petrucci and Morello, I still hope they’d cater to guys I like - Cantrell, Adam Jones, DeLeo, Billy Corgan, even Wes Borland/Korn/Linkin Park/Deftones or Mastodon would probably be more in line in that generation.
To be fair, Mateus is a legit touring pro. He's been in Bruno Mars' band for a few years at this point and been a sideman for other singers like Tori Kelly, etc. He's not just an "internet guy", but that definitely made people notice him.
I'd buy the fuck out of a Cantrell or DeLeo plugin, ngl.

Having access to some of his cab's, and gear he digs generally would be fucking rad. Same with AJ too tbh, just hearing and being able to play through (a model of) their own specific rig is pretty fucking cool. As good as the STL stuff is, I think Neural just do the artist packs a LITTLE better. Definitely all in my head but I think a (accurate/not kemper) machine learned sampling of their actual gear is very cool.Cantrell represents a much narrower spectrum, but I don't think any one amp will give you the whole shebang for most of his studio tones. He's the king of stacking different flavors to create rich layers of crunch tone.

Although Richard Patrick from Filter said that Dean basically recorded everything in the 2000's with Amp Farm lol
Goddamn, i love the guitar tones on Army of Anyone's album.
Amp Farm has sneakily made its way to multiple high profile albums of the era. Most of Billy Howerdel's parts in Mer De Noms were recorded with it.
