NDSP Plugin Teaser SOON (Archetype Mateus Asato)

Seeing the promo videos now...

AESTHETIC >>> SUBSTANCE

Actually I am intrigued, what are the Filtertron looking pickups in his Suhr Tele?

my japanese (OR EVEN KOREAN) is a bit rusty but it sounds good here:

they’ve definitely changed how the plugins look, I guess the new Plini will be more in line with this. Looks fantastic to me. Gear choices are quite cool actually, not exactly what I would have guessed

Wait a minute… so this isn’t an “X” plugin? Does that mean it can’t be loaded into the Quad Cortex?

Correct, if the QC firmware launched today, it would not be compatible.

They mentioned in their update that they won't delay the launch of a plug in solely to make it QC compatible

Look, i really want to like the QC. But Neural says a lot of things.

All we know is that we might get plug-in updates "in a couple weeks" to be supported by the Quad Cortex "in the future".

I fully believe they wouldn't postpone a plug in just so that it has QC support. One of the few things they have been clear on is that plugins and QC are two different things

Right, but remember plugins are a recurring income stream from the same customer base. The QC customer base isn't buying multiple QCs.

Their plugins have had a tremendous amount stand alone value for me, so I look at the handful I’ve bought as ultimately having provided value for money. I’ve pumped the breaks on most of their plugs though, not so much for QC compatibility, but the fact that they’ve sort of saturated their own market with a bunch of overlapping plugins. As a “plug-in” manufacturer (ignoring the QC) there has to be a pivot at some point, because each successive plug-in offers increasingly diminished value to a user.

I still think they are going to have to unify all their modeling into some sort of Neural Native suite at some point. Probably around 2035.

I was just looking at the QC device list, I think a fair few models (and IR’s) from the plugins are already in there, and I definitely expect them all to trickle the other way too.

Hopefully that means VH4, Herbert, Marshall Super Lead/Bass etc appear in plugins

Great Player ! ... no ifs, buts, or maybes' :)

There are however 2 really great parts about this ...... (a) it will sound soooooo much different to all their other 18 plugins and same efx .... and (b) if Mateo wants to start using a QC hardware pedal live he will be able to load and play his own amps ..... ummm ... hang on .... errrrrr .,... ahhhhh ...hmmmmm ....
