Mooer GS1000li profiler

More than the QC I think this really hurts Nano
Sitting directly in their price point with capture and a ton of effects
Realistically if it takes NDSP another 6 months or a year to implement a handful more of fx , I think they have to look at new pricing in the 399-450 range
What hurts the nano is the lack of a screen and a reliance on Bluetooth. The Meris Enzo taught me never to buy a complicated pedal that doesn’t have a user interface of any kind. I loved every demo of the Enzo I heard, and when I got the pedal, I found it an absolute chore to use.

Mooer just released the GS1000li. It's basically competition for the QC, Kemper etc and I found it to be very solid! The one that I got has a built in battery, so that was cool and unexpected! Good amount of effects (350 or so) and the profile that I made turned out very accurate.

I think it's cool that there's a lot of competition out there because hopefully this will push all the companies to up their game!

Check it out:

Intresting that is really noticeable w the screamer effect , it responds like you would expect
It sounds like Hotone is similar

Pretty sure that the intent is that your phone is the screen with the Nano. Honestly, I don't think it's an afterthought - it seems to be an integral part of the original design goals AFAICT.

I was _very_ resistent to this idea before I started using the Nano, but I've warmed to it now; the mobile interface is pretty good. Sure it could be improved (less scrolling would be nice!), but I've not really had any significant issues with it.

The Nano's bluetooth integration is very reliable and quick to connect, unlike the UAFX stuff which is terrible in comparison.

They've had a profiling app for iPad (!!!), which nobody really used, since forever. The real question is why did it took so long for it to show up on any of the 5,000 hardware products Mooer sells these days.

To be fair, I’ve had the Mooer Preamp Live and the Preamp X, and I have to say even their basic capture technology has always been damn good.
I know, I'm just being a sarcastic dick. :pee

Agreed although I like the layout it simple
But everytime something like ToneX gets all the effects
Or Hotone gets capture tech
It really knocks down the value of the NANO IMO

I wish NDSP had released this box with a screen one path
Four encoders scaled down QC
That would have been a solid move , but they did not , they focus solely on the capture functionality which appears to be the easiest tech to reproduce well and at competitive pricing

I feel like this is the next product coming from Fractal. The VP4 platform is too good not to expand it. I could see other devices in the near future from Fractal that fit in a VP4 size enclosure that use capture tech or have a smattering of their amp sims.

I say meh. The GE1000 looks more useful regarding I/O and integration and none of these Amazon brands are doing some very basic things (momentary switching, independent outputs) that move the needle for me. They all sound good, but none of them are going to drop into my setups without more shit plugged in to them or out of them.

I haven't watched all of the videos yet but I want to hear someone demo lightly broken up tones without drenching them in effects. These are tones that people seem to never demo. Those are the tones that I find are harder to get digital units to do well. This is where the feel under the fingers gets to be important. Everyone seems to go right to metal tones. I think those compressed high gain tones are easier to accomplish.

I like the clean tones I heard in one of the videos. That would work for me, not that I need another digital device.

The VA1 Virtual amp/ cab box in the same format would be pretty cool 😎
