MERIS ENZO X

This finally dropped. I've been waiting for it for a while! The Enzo sounds so good but it was the worst interface I've ever seen on a pedal. Now with a screen it is a must-have.

I've no interest in guitar synths, but you'll probably have a hard time using a bass station II as a guitar synth pedal :idk

It's not for me. But for someone else it could be exactly what they want.

I’m kinda sorta interested in this. Only because I like blending synths with guitars. I certainly don’t “need” another synth though :bag

I watched the demo videos. Not a single sound in any of them requires a guitar. It is kind of mad.

I dunno.. this aint grabbing me. Get a Novation Bass Station II for half the price and get sick sounds ???

The right tool for the job.

*shrug*

Bass station is mono, so you ain't gonna get any polyphonic chords from it if you need that :P

Yeah, I'm curious, how does it track?
I've browsed several videos but for guitar it's mostly slow, single notes or chords. It makes me very skeptical I don't see any mention of tracking. Especially the bass player who plays moderate tempo single note lines to demo the effects only, not the synth engine. For synth it's all slow, single notes or chords.

I'll wait for the SY800 to show up.

No idea, but this is not a shredder box. You’re not pulling off Rudess/Petrucci unisons with it, it’s meant for more chill, lo-if applications and sound absolutely amazing for these. I had an Enzo back a few years ago and it sounded awesome except it was the most ridiculous pedal to try to use, very steep learning curve with no screen. Now that it has a screen and I can see what parameters I’m adjusting, I absolutely am going to give this a try.

I'm not expecting shredder but I expect decent tracking for moving lines. So far this appears to be only good for slow, held notes which for me isn't useful. Maybe the tracking is fine but I find it odd it's never addressed. Some people may be ok using it for pads and slow ambient and more power to them.

I just noticed that the switches on those pedals (same for the LVX) are incredibly close to each other. No idea how one could properly operate the inner switches live...
