I see. For someone without an existing GK pickup, this look like a good entry point. From what I gather, they have a new serial GK pickup (maybe an improvement?)

Lower price and small size, plus many/most/all of the GT1000 Core effects. It fits on my board, low latency, GT effects, what is not to like?

Sorry to be a downer, just underwhelmed with it.

I will probably get it someday to replace my sy-1000 that I got rid of again and to pair with my gm-800, just to use for some alternate tunings / acoustic stuff. However I never seemed to use the modelled electric instruments because they just never sounded that real to me or much different than what someone can already do with EQ and playing dynamics etc.

I was just hoping for something new, not rehashed stuff from things they have already done and a step taken back.

BUT if anyone knows me, don't trust what I say because usually I'm the first to complain and the first to get it lmao.

In my excitement, it didn't occur to me that there wouldn't be on-board synth sounds.

Guitar and amp modeling and alt tuning. Gr300 is one of my faves. It just has to be the specific synth sound you want.
