Pedal GASSSSSSSSSS - maybe in 2025

Call me @timbuck3. I ain't buy shit these past few years! Except for a new JP15.

But right after Christmas, I think I'm gonna make a few calls and see about getting myself a birthday present. :chef
Just can't decide what my comfort level is atm.

I picked up a Tumnus Deluxe in the States. Really did little for me. The Fredric Zombie Klone on the other hand is not leaving my board. Secondhand these things are coming in at under £70 at the minute. Kinda weird selling a pedal I don't like whilst replacing it with something apparently the same but there you have it.

Fredric pedals are really good and stupidly cheap on the secondhand market. Good score.

You probably already know about these, but if you haven't, and want to really blast the audio apart, they're pretty freaking cool, especially the Plasma:

ahhhhhhaaaahhhh!! I miss my Plasma Coil!

So my pedal collection is pretty slim right now. I paired down massively a year or so ago, and now all I've got is the following:

- Digitech FreqOut
- Boss RV-5
- Meris LVX
- Meris MercuryX
- MXR Reverb
- Boss DD-8
- Boss DD-3
- Lehle Mono Volume
- Boss SD-1w
- TS808 clone

For quite some time I was just using my Helix, Axe3, and the above. I'm feeling like I wanna get more singles again. I got the QC, and I enjoy it, but I don't know if I will keep it.

Currently on my list:
- Walrus Audio Fable
- Walrus Audio Lore
- Walrus Audio Sloer
- Line6 DL4 MKII
- Boss DD-200
- Fractal VP4
- Wampler Tumnus Deluxe
- Peterson Strobostomp Mini
- Danelectro 3699 Fuzz

What else should I consider?? I don't have a good option for a really gnarly as fuck fuzz, or anything that does good "fuck shit up" effects.

Just an idle thread to kick around some ideas. Don't know what will stick really.

Since you’re into the Boss digital delays have you considered the new SDE-3? Looks dope.

Fuzz + Fuck Shit Up effect, might consider the Octa PSI.

I've been looking for a fuck things up fuzz too. Fuzz Factory is a great shout and was next on my list. I currently have a Fuzzrocious 420 fuzz.

The Fable looks awesome and definitely is on my list of pedals to try.

Cool to see you getting into pedals again, mate! Excited to see what you end up with.

You have the Meris pedals and can't fuck shit up? I can with my Polymoon, Mercury 7 and Hedra.

Maybe you need a Hedra?

EQD Data Corrupter, Transmisser and Afterneath also do odd stuff.
Zvex Fuzz Factory

Dude, if I was into the gear and sounds like you are, I would want to rig up a dual amp setup in stereo, and put a TC Mimiq up front to see how realistic it sounds.
Yep, or a W/D/W rig. Once you drive one it’s tough to unhear it and drive without it. IMHO of course.

It is a great delay but I think the EVH unit brings two things to the table that makes it worth the current price difference…
The EVH presets and W/D/W capability. I’d love to see Fractal offer that output. Maybe they do and I just don’t know how to achieve it.

Have a Past Fx TD-Y and Patriarch on order, and just bought a Digitech Freqout...:wat
I have a boxed Freqout that I have yet to try dang it. I hope it lives up to all the good things I hear about it.

I wish Fractal would model it… that would be sweet.

I really like it. The intro to PF Sorrow had me GASing for the Freqout... It's a very cool pedal.

I had a few Tube Screamer clone pedals over the years and liked most of them. But I never had a actual Ibanez TS-9 or TS-808 before yet. A new TS-9 is only $100 bones if you pay full price, and a TS-808 is $170. That's like the cost of a night out to dinner and a movie for 2 here in Lalaland. Might be something fun to get for budget bucks just to fart around with and see if you can find some cool sounds to tweak. Also some of the pedal companies like AnalogMan do some cool mods to the Ibanez Tube Screamer pedals.
The Ibanez TS Mini is currently $70 at Amazon
