Lovepedal ‘Sale’

Sweet! :banana

My experience with the Dragon Fuzzes is that one of them is Lo-Cut that takes it
from, Fuzzface to Treble Booster. Some people call it a "Blend," but to my ears it
is just rolling off Bass. :idk

Can you give us a gut shot to see if there is an Input Trim inside, and maybe what
kind of transistors it has??

I‘ll take off the knobs and footswitch this weekend because I’m curious to see the transistors. I’ll probably do it with the GE Dover too, just for curiosities sake. Hahahahha I just realized it says DEATH something on the bottom right corner.

I’ll play around with these settings later tonight.

Cool! That trimpot could be useful----depending on what pickups/guitar you are using.

I’ll definitely fuck with it this weekend. I tweaked the one on my GE Dover a little bit. If anything just to hear the range in there and see if there’s a sweet spot I dig. This definitely isn’t a “plug it in for 15 minutes with one amp and know it inside and out” pedal.

Maybe snap a pic with your phone so you can get back to where you started. Just in case. :idk

Not that you need any advice from me. :beer

3 pedals listed on the Lovepedal site!

Amp50, Bonetender and the Vibronaught.

I have one more week before I can buy any gear or I’ll spend the next week chastising myself for breaking my own rules. Hahahaha I’d get the Vibronaught but it’d be breaking both my “No more vibes” and “Don’t spend until this date” rules.

The Bone Tender is a remarkable little thing!

Sounds really nice, even though there's no bias knob or trim pot, which sucks. But it's legit for a Si-based circuit.

It was my "revelation" as to which flavor of fuzz I liked best - mkII all day long!!! <3

Rockin' a Twin Bender these days, nothing beats that one, imho.

I grabbed the vibe and bonetender. I’ve been looking to find a more pedalboard friendly alternative to my big white deja-vibe and I’m hoping it is up to it.

The bonetender just sounded awesome in the demo video, curious to try it on.

I am rocking the Vibronaut here. Have had some of the cork-sniffery ones in massive boxes
with fancy fonts and colourful paint schemes and the Vibronaut vibes with the best of them.

$130 or so for a true photocell vibe with adjustable voltage and sweep and gain via internal
trimpots IS A NO BRAINER.

Nice, glad to hear that! I’m sort of hot and cold with my dejavibe. It sounds lush, but it’s gigantic, a bit noisy, and is somewhat temperamental with some pedals.

Will gladly sell that thing off if the lovepedal gets anywhere near it tonally.

I think you'll dig it. Has the aforementioned trimpots inside to dial it in to your preferences.....
which can be really useful, or a nightmare if you forget to snap a pic of them on your phone
so you can get them back to where Sean set them stock.

Having had a few of the Fulltone Vibes (including the model with the treadle) I don't feel like
I am missing out on anything. If anything, I get more with the Vibronaut due to the Hi and Lo
Cut ability.

Isolated power is essential. :beer

Mike Fuller says you're using a cheap PSU and wussy patch cables. Man up! 😂

It's always "the user's fault" with anything Fulltone.

I have one of the isolated outs on a Truetone CS6 set aside for it. Not necessarily top of the line, but that supply has been able to adequately power my HXFX, Tonex, and the Dejavibe so hopefully it’s up for it. The CS6 has been a beast for me.

It’s definitely the lightest fuzz of them all, it almost has a lot on tap but then the sustain dies out early, into a straight clean tone. Definitely works best into a dirty amp like a 2204 with the gain up around 5-6. I played with the bias today, you can get it to where it sounds like this really metallic -almost clean sound that reminds me of a sound I heard when on a bad mushroom trip, or in the opposite direction it‘ll glitch out like a hard gate. I’m just a pinch off from the stock setting, trying to get the most sustain out of it.

I wasn’t sure if I’d call the GE Dover a fuzz or not before, but in that line up it absolutely fits in unquestionably. It actually sounds like a mix of that 70 and the EJ Fuzz Face. The EJ FF has the air around the notes like you’d hear int he EJ tone but it’s really, really dark, the 70 has the top end. The Red Dragon is closer to the EJ FF than anything else, I’m not really finding any useful tones with those knobs in any other position, it cleans up really fast and not in a pleasing way. Maybe with a dirty amp it’d be nice, I’ve still only tried it maxed out into a dirtier amp.

Besides the FF and DD, do the others work ok in those positions? Some of those fuzz circuits can be finicky.
