This is probably more than you asked for, but...

• FS6 (MODE) can be set to toggle between any two modes you want
• FS6 (MODE) now shows you the mode you'll exit out to when leaving a mode not assigned to FS6
• Hold FS6 for More Mode—lets you access 4 additional modes without having to remember the shortcuts: Stomp B, Snapshot, Combi, or Transport
• From More mode, press-hold Stomp B, Snapshot, Combi, or Transport to swap it out for the current/queued FS6 Mode
• More mode also lets you open/close Info view, start/stop preset clips, start/stop the click, start/stop/reset the stopwatch, quicksave the preset, and quickly mute all outputs
• Combo mode (different modes on the top and bottom rows, plus Bank/Preset/Snapshot/Song/Marker Up and Down) is now separate from Preset mode
• Effects are now automatically assigned to stomps (like POD Go), but you can turn this off
• Pressing a stomp switch can now jump to the assigned item (like POD Go), but you can set item selection to Touch (default), Press, Touch+Press, or Off.
• Individual Stomp switches now support up to 16 assignments (vs. 8 in Helix/HX)
• If you forget the shortcut, assigning a stomp can also be accomplished from the block's Action panel, or for stompshots, learning from the parameter's panel
• Stompshot (or other controller) assignment now takes 2 seconds instead of 3. Press-hold the parameter knob, press the stomp switch, done
• Stompshots now work independently from snapshots. A parameter can be assigned to a local controller (stomp, expression pedal, X/Y controller axis, trigger, etc.), a snapshot, and (not or) MIDI CC or note independently
• Command Center command parameters have individual snapshot control, just like Home screen block parameters
• Tap-holding a stomp opens the quick assign dialog, letting you rename/recolor the stomp and select latching/momentary operation, but you can now also quickly clear the stomp
• As with Snapshot switches in Helix/HX, Preset mode switches can now be user-colored
• All Capacitive touch can now be disabled for you gross dudes who insist on playing barefoot

Many more footswitch/control enhancements are planned for later.

That's a lot of information. Will it be possible to map block parameters to the encoders for the home screen (or some kind of live screen)? In a live situation I'd love to have instant access to my most used parameters like gain, volume, delay and reverb mix.

November our second album is coming out and both guitars were recorded with Helix only. It's already a great platform, and I'm really looking forward to the stadium

I was going to wait for the Stadium Stomp, but now I think since I’m building a monster FM9 board, perhaps the standard Stadium with backpack as a Purse Rig would be cool.

I’m still very seriously considering putting together a FM9/Stadium rig. I’ve run my Stomp XL with the FM9 and really like having access to both at the same time.

is it possible now or in the near future to program a few foot switches to toggle on tap between different snapshots, say 1 and 2, and program hold to go directly to snap 2? While all other foot switches are used for turning individual effects on/off?

If I understand correctly what you mean this is already possible with current helix hardware

Helix/HX can do this now via the Command Center.

There are now up to two commands for each stomp, but unfortunately, toggling between two specific snapshots would use both of them.

I run the Stomp XL in a loop so that I can insert it into the chain wherever I want it. Whatever additional latency occurs isn’t enough to bother me.

I definitely already posted this once before, but just mulling it over:

That's a Pedaltrain XD-24. Along the bottom I can fit the Helix Stadium Floor and my BB535 wah. Then I could have the VP4 connected via SPDIF, and put the RV-5 in its own loop and the MercuryX in its own loop, on the Stadium Floor. Then I've got two loops left.

A Warwick Rockboard MOD2 would complete the picture, having that at the top end of the board as my main I/O entry point.

Both Stadium and FM9 run at 48kHz natively so yeah, that should work.

As this week’s video features lots about the I/O side…. A couple of questions for DI - I quite understand jf this is too early to say or you can’t comment but if you can:

How’s the latency to a DAW via USB? I currently go Kemper into SPDIF but will be moving to Stadium XL. My recording interface is USB 2 and, although I get great results using SPDIF (and could for sure do that with Stadium) I’m wondering if the Stadium XL going straight to USB would be better what with it being USB 3?

On a related note, the dynamic range specs on the mic input are better than my Focusrite Clarett. Obviously there’s more to making a decent mic preamp than a dynamic range number so…. Is the quality of the mic pre in the stadium good enough to take on mid-range recording interfaces like the Clarett or am I hoping for too much there?
